Excellent, iv been waiting for these to come down in price, briliant Edi as always

cheers edi, need one to and i also have a £5.00 gift voucher, so good deal for me.

Hi, bought one of these yesterday, today i will be returning it.

It has got to be one of the worst deep fat fryers I have ever seen.

Not worth the 25 quid.

Still looking for a decent one if anybody has any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback & welcome to HUKD Goatyone

What was the problem ?

Thanks for the pointer edi. I didn't buy the Breville but I bought this for £69.79 (reduced from £99.99 - cheapest is Amazon at £84.99).

It automatically filters the fat (3 hours or so after you have used it) and then stores it in a box underneath the unit. You can then take the box out and store it.

I know it's £45 more but it's well worth it in my opinion. It also makes excellent crispy chips.

Cheers , that £69.79 one looks good.
been thinking of getting one for ages....fed up with oven chips !

fed up with oven chips !

What are 'oven chips'

there's only one way to make chips, Reds, a pan and beef dripping :whistling:

:giggle:

If we gave our kids oven chips they'd leave....mmm! now wait a minute....

....heads of to Terrorescos.

Any further info Goatyone? I'm considering going for one this afternoon

Too late I'm off to collect. I'll provide feedback tonight.

Well, maybe I've been spoiled over the past 10 years by using DeLonghi roto-fryers :? but the only thing professional about this is it's looks, and then only from a distance :giggle:

The oil sits directly on the exposed heating element which I've not seen in quite some time, but it made the oil get to temperature real quick. The downside of that is it'll probably need a brush to clean it when the time comes, as the element and temperature sensors are all bunched together, although the whole control section lifts out in one lump.

The empty unit wobbled on my worktop until filled with oil, but I made an adjustment to one of the feet anyway to counteract that.

My verdict is... it's ok. Flimsy, but ..errm.. ok for the price. I would have been very unhappy had I paid the full 50 smackers for it

The specs look better on this one from Aldi, and cheaper at £22.99
