Breville VST026 Café Style Sandwich Press - £24.99 @ John Lewis

Found 8th Oct 2014
I was looking for a replacement of our old Breville sandwich maker which is the previous smaller model. In doing so I came across this at John Lewis which is currently much cheaper than everywhere else I tried, so perhaps its a hot deal maker, excuse the pun.

The Breville VST026 sandwich press holds up to four sandwiches so you can feed all the family. This sandwich press accommodates different types of bread, from Panini, Ciabatta bread to Focaccia bread thanks to its hinged lid which serves different sandwich thickness. You can also use the VST026 for warming naan breads and tortillas, cooking crumpets or to toasting bagels. Use the ready-to-cook indicator lights on the sandwich press to let you know when the non-stick plates are hot enough, and after use give them a quick wipe with a damp cloth - easy

Absolutely love this grill though, makes amazing paninis

My sister got this and she raves on about it.

I use my George Foreman grill for the same purpose.

does a George Foreman grill do the same thing?

If by the same thing you mean it gets used every day for the first two weeks, then sits proudly on the kitchen worktop for a couple of months before being relegated to the back of a cupboard, then yes, the George foreman and this are very similar.

this is awesome, panini's, toasties, ciabata's great investment.

You are kidding?? Had mine 5 years or so,a little worn now but its great for cooking anything ..toasties,paninis, burgers ..even fried eggs :-)
SO quick and esy ,its used more than the microwave in our house .

I got mine from Asda Rotherham £20 then at the till £18 ! Think it might be a bit smaller though as it does two Panini's at once

Why oh why did I see this! Now I've got to order yet another kitchen gizmo. I've just ordered my Morphy Richards slow cooker from Debenhams and then realised Amazon was a few quid cheaper. Not happy.

Ordered. Thanks!!

Yup, it's no longer a deal. I was at £24.95 the other day, but now I've convinced the wife she wants one, it's £39.95.
