Lies Lies Lies it's a toastie maker with cynical marketing special moves.

Another dust gatherer for the kitchen-use once then novelty wears off

^ so true

These take up loads of room - unless you have a big kitchen, or eat toasties/Panini's everyday, it will be in a cupboard and forgotten...

I'm with you... Had one similar for a number of years. It's sat atop of kitchen cupboard gathering dust.

It does come down once in a while.

Poor thing.

Is that your husband you are talking about?

At last something to keep the waffle maker company!

Worth every penny, you cynical lot. Makes excellent toasted sarnies, and we use it all the time.

Bought one a year ago, probably the most used implement in the kitchen, very good for bacon, chicken breasts, steaks and burgers, toasties and hot wraps. Very easy to clean and no sign of the coating deteriorating. Check the Amazon reviews.

Panini just sounds rude.

Back of the cupboard Queen!

Along side the George Foreman grill, bread maker, ice cream maker etc

I use the George foreman grill for hot wraps and paninis. this is a good price though

Looks good but the reviews say the plates are quite small so you can only do 1 panini at a time.
I am looking for one of these as my sandwich maker has broken after years of good service.

These are brilliant for grilling chicken.

Good deal!

I have this.

I was previously looking for a toaster for upto £50. I just wanted something that could toast large bread, but according to reviews, no toaster could do this.

So, I bought this breville from amazon a while back.
I would say that this is one of my best kitchen purchases.
I use it almost every day as a regular toaster.

To give you an idea, this can evenly toast 2 slices of large bread in about 3-4 minutes. No other toaster can toast evenly and accept all sizes of bread.
The only problem is that it does flatten the bread a little.

Definitely worth £20.

EDIT: just to clarify, I bought the 4 slice version:

The item in this thread is smaller.

I have this aswel a truly great and handy piece of kit! At this price a steal

Got this very one - it's useless - it's not big enough to take proper sized bread to make toasties with. As for a panini I couldn't see 2 being made at once. Either that or I'm just greedy!

The hot plates need to be bigger & preferably removable for easy cleaning.

Why doesn't it include bloody grooves for that grill style effect you always get on paninis?

Me too, I'm in the market for a new sandwich toaster after ours died a death. Have been considering this one for a while but it's bulky so in two minds still :-/

I think that the Breville VST026 4 Slice Sandwich Press looks better. It is £32 but has been cheaper than this in the past.

amazon.co.uk/Bre…026

It overheated on my lap and the 'screen' went black. No refund from Currys. They said it wasn't a notebook computer and to take it back to Asda instead! :-o

Right guys, I think I'm going to have to retract some comments.

I bought this:

The item I bought was the larger version.

I'm going to edit my earlier posts, as I dont want to mis-lead.

Apologies.

I have 1 and a George Forman and I I use them both a lot so much so I'm looking to buy a bigger George not sure y u ppl r give it a hard time love it buy 1 there great

The issue is size.
I have the 4 slice version, which is perfect. 10/10.
But if mine was half size (2 slice), I'm not sure if I'd give it 10/10.

bought mine 5 years ago, and still going strong today, only the lock that gave up last year but the build quality is great and at this price is a steal. HOTTTO HOTTO!!
