A lot of people slam brewdog because some of their schemes such as the equity for punks are half baked. But they do have a decent tap room that supports and lists lots of local breweries. Yes it's a bit more expensive but I rather drink quality rather than quantity... maybe it's my age.

They allow dogs, tampons are free for women and also seem to try to do some good things such as this.
Support companies like brewdog - home bargains - companies that are looking after others!
Super deal, Brewdog are committed to not laying off any staff, please do support these British companies. Great to see they are donating hand sanitiser too.

They're sacrificing output to make it, so I guess they get to decide. Rightfully so.
This would be great, if there were any locations in Northern Ireland

While it’s a laudable act, it’s unlikely that they’re sacrificing output. The current situation will have hit demand for their products as much as anyone else’s, so I expect they will have the capacity (and the staff) to produce the gel.
I'm 100% certain NHS staff will be social distancing and not doing something as stupid as visiting a chain pub

1. NHS staff are, for the most part, adults. So I guess they can make that decision for themselves.

2. They don't need to go in. Hence "Drive Thru"

Nope, none of them enjoying their free brews and discounts. Honest.

Brewdog is fairly shady as far as I recall. Anything for a good PR moment I suppose

£1 bet there isn't a UK-wide ban on pub opening by Monday.
Behave yourselves. It’s a business who are doing something for nothing and who are also looking after their staff. That’s to be applauded, not to be used in a point-scoring nonsense.
Done it tonight. Easy. Enjoying my beer watching the telly at home
Meh even 50% of is still more than you can get them from the supermarket. Discount off there online store would be a bit better.

Nice idea though I guess, enjoy any that want it, hope you’re all okay 🍺

You have not been in a Scottish supermarket over the last couple of days - boozepocalypse!
They're PR chasing.

This will result in bugger all, as they know they'll be entering lock down within the next few days. The sanitizer stuff is PR stunt and hardly any will be produced. Brewdog rip off their 'fans' with fake 'equity'. They also got done recently for sacking a guy who went blind as they broke disability law.
Nearest venue to me in Liverpool?
Milton Keynes.
My local Brewdog is on a pedestrianised street. Got flagged down by the Police to explain why I was driving my car there and then had to promise I hadn’t been drinking.

They also threatened to sue a family-run pub for using the word "Punk" in its name, which is probably the least "punk" thing I can think of (and it's not the first time they tried to sue a pub). They also are infamous for stealing people's ideas at interview and then not hiring them. They also once advertised a competition for a "year's supply of beer", and they sent the guy 10 beers. That was it.

As someone once told me: "BrewDog are a marketing company that sells beer on the side".
Keep alcohol consumption down guys to keep your immune system healthy. We need our sleep for this and drinking alcohol doesn’t make for a good nights sleep. (Sorry to be a pooper).

It's not exactly true. I know how hard it is to run a business and that pretty much no one plans enough liquidity for a month of closure, cause these things normally don't happen and by no means I am judging them, however, I have read a personal note on one of a craft beer forums from one of their former employee who lost his job yesterday.

I am aware of the crap things they have done.

But they also do some good stuff that this thread highlights.
I deleted my initial comment because I thought it was a little disrespectful to anyone suffering from the virus or worried about loved ones but I was right about the pubs shutting by Monday.

"Cafes, pubs and restaurants must close from Friday night, except for take-away food, to tackle coronavirus, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said.

Night clubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres have also been asked to close "as soon as they reasonably can".

I had insider information anyway so I pretty much knew I was right all along. Just surprised it's today not Monday.

Which wasn't doing food last night anyway! I had an order accepted and a phone call 5 mins later to cancel. Not what I wanted after a 12 hour day at work...
Surely picking up a takeaway is not one of the reasons for leaving your home? They still hatch serving?

This was last week, before the lockdown.
