Just seen these arrive in the Talbot Road home bargains in Blackpool, 500ml bottles priced at 69p. All of the other wychwood brewery bottles are 1.19 to 1.49.
These were 99p in aldi last year, so hopefully someone will like them at this price.

Maybe the title needs an edit £69 a bottle?

Yep. Ta. Messed that up.
Cheap but not their best
47%, by God that's what I call a strong beer
Thanks OP. 4 per cent, golden ale, got to be worth a try at this price, reviews here beeradvocate.com/bee…19/
Cleared the shelf in Durham branch, thanks!
That’s the beer for Santa on Christmas Eve sorted! Cheers OP!
This is OK. And for 69p its actually rather good.

But it isn't what I'd expect for a "Christmas Ale".
Its amber, bitter to start and end with, and there's a little bit of malty sweetness in between.
Winter Warmer it ain't, that's for sure.
But for 500ml of happily drinkable 4%, at 69p it is a bit of a 'bargin'. (Especially as that includes a nice brown glass bottle to add to the homebrew collection!)

Plenty in the Folkestone branch ... (for now)

If this is still available it's a bargain. Just got around to drinking a bottle and it's fine for an average strength ale.
