This is a fantastic deal! You can see all the lego and duplo they have to borrow on their inventory, there is loads! If you live near to Brick Library and have children (or adults) who love LEGO it can save you a fortune!

From the website:
Brick Library is a LEGO and DUPLO library in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. Members can borrow as many sets as they like over the year. It is open for anyone over 18 to join for just £10 per year. Brick Library has over £1000 of LEGO and DUPLO for people to borrow.

The brick library have their work cut out checking all pieces are returned and without teeth marks. Probably more hassle than its worth for them to be honest although great if you live nearby.

Nice idea but considering the cost of Lego they can't have very much!

website last updated back in December last year...is the site still active?

Also, as stated earlier, £1000 of Lego ain't very much!

Great idea if it was say run at libraries or something, but this is out of someone's home-not sure it can even be posted on here aaccording to site rules...

£1000 of Lego isn't that much, I've got £800 in two large boxes to donate to a local hospital.

My mistake, I posted as a national deal and not a local deal. To be clear it's only for people living locally so £1000 worth of LEGO goes further.

Sorry but if it was a figure of total sets with an extra zero on the end then call me interested, but £1000 of lego is a pretty small amount of stock. I've easily got £1000-1500 worth at inflation adjusted RRP since the 1980s, possibly worth a bit more than that considering the value of some of the rarer sets. Then add the stuff I've been able to add as an 'adult' (term used loosely considering the topic of discussion) and the figure would probably be over to £3k.

Great Deal! - I hope they have all the things I look for in a Lego set.

1. Chewed Pieces
2. Stickers Applied
3. Missing Pieces (Yes - confirmed on thier website - see below)
4. Foreign Objects

Quote from there blog "Unfortunately Brick Library has one piece missing, one of the figures." - theres only two figures in this set! whos going to drive the fire engine!

They have 71 sets but im going for this one :

I'm sure they probably have most of the above, but for £10 a year you can't complain. Even the cheapest lego sets are £5 and it says you can get 2 of the small ones at a time so that's your £10 worth already. Of course you don't get to keep them, lol.

Some of the sets are brand new, so shouldn't have any teeth marks etc. Of course some look old and probably have some marks. The fun is in building the lego though, not looking out for teeth marks!

Seems like a good idea particularly if you live near Sutton Coldfield!
