With a continuous output rated at 1.7kw it won't add to the battery very quickly. It it could be made to work with the charger it would give you about 5 additional miles of range for every hour it's running.
And fill your car with deadly fumes!

Yeah but the Tesla looks sweet and the i3 looks like ass . Anyway I think technically Fisker did it first with the Karma, probably one of the best looking EVs ever made and sadly now defunct...
