Nice jugs!:giggle:

We have one of these and it's fine. The aluminium sports bottles are useless though. You get loads of air coming out when you try to drink and they dribble a lot too. Even my kids didn't like them so we took the bottles down to the local charity shop.

This is a good deal whether you need/want a new jug or not. Amazon currently charge £10.47 for a pack of just three maxtra cartridges so this is cheaper than buying six cartridges alone.

Woolworths seems to be the cheapest place to get the maxtra filters at £9.50 for a 3-pack so even that is £19.00 for six filters if you collect them instore. My wife just showed me that she has just bought a box of four of these filters from Woolworths for only £12.50, but she said that it was the last box on the shelf.

BTW, you only get five cartridges according to the manufacturers description? Is it 5 or 6 I wonder. Still a good deal though.

edit: Never mind "5 extra cartridges" ie. 6 in total.

Sainsburys had 4 maxtra cartridges for £10 a few months back.

Thanks lulabell75, great price , have ordered 1

Sainsburys had the exact same item for £10 last year, I bought 6 still not sure why though!

@doublecuffs The aluminium sports bottles are supposed to let air in as you drink for two reasons.

1. no air gets in = no drink gets out
2. stops you drinking too fast after exertion

I have been using Sigg+ bottles for years and they are all the same.

Very good deal - almost better to buy a new jug with this offer than to pay for extra cartridges for your existing jug... :-D

I bought this exact item in my sainsbury's tonight for £3.24, don't know if it's national or not?

Can anyone help me by telling me how wide the jug is at its widest point.

I want to see if it will fit in my fridge door.

thanks

They're 10.5 cm at the widest point.
