Yeah screw the planet right?

Does anybody get that I'm jesting (especially with the winking face at the end)?

People who really care about the planet would ve drinking tap water and not buying these anyway (I know they can be recycled but there is still an effect to the planet even with that).

Good deal, voted hot.
Good deal, heat added.
I think Wilko do generic filters that fit for Brita when replacements are needed.

Good price, although I'm not keen on the lid design on this model, which I always find a bit awkward to take off when changing the cartridge

Been waiting for this to be a reasonable price. I bought the extra large, white version which was £12. Thanks mate, heat for you it is.

I bought the larger capacity one, 2.4l filtered from amazon for 2 quid extra. Come with cartridge as well, as this one.

I better pass my comment off as joke then
Good deal, paid £12 not long ago. They had them for £8.50 in local ASDA but likely to be store specific

Does the larger one fit in a fridge door?
Does it even make any difference ?
Tesco is selling it slightly cheaper in almost all stores £10.50

We used to buy still water due to our hard water producing hot drinks with a limescale scum. Using tap water meant descaling a very furred up kettle at least monthly.
After starting to use this design of Brita jug with Amazon subscription cartridges the kettle furring is almost gone, maybe descale 3 times per year now and stopped buying still water. So to my surprise this is a solution for limescale.
The cartridges are not recyclable by the local council recycling scheme afaik. Though I gather that Waitrose has a recycling service if you buy Brita originals from them. Apparently Terracycle has a full recycling process for the filter cartridges but only for commercial customers.

Not trolling.

Just bringing some humor.

I thought most people would have got it (especially the give away at the end with the winking face). 😁

I remember reading an article which tested the top selling water filters, if my memory serves me correct, Brita one scored the highest.

I tried some other ones (think it was the Aqua Optima ones and although they said they lasted 2 months they only seemed to just under a month like the Britta ones).

Other comparable ones seemed to last just a couple of weeks.

Decent price, but the deal at Dunelm with a jug and 12 filters for £36.85 is better value.
do you need to buy a new filter every 4 weeks for £6 a go?wilko price
same price at Argos too

Is that large 10 cup Brita model you reviewed even sold in the UK ? The slim model with 1 month filters probably suit our tiny kitchen work surfaces better.
Edited by: "harrythefish" 29th Dec 2019
Do you have to but a new filter each month or is that based on average use? Got one to use only to prevent scale in the coffee machine so wondering would I get two months of l out of a filter, or do they run out purely based on time?
