I have just bought an expensive Delonghi coffee machine and I am thinking of using filtered water with it to prolong its life and prevent limescale...Is it worth it?
I am using Aqua Optima replacements to Maxtra and they are as good. Wilko also offers replacements for £15 of 6pack .

I added heat as it’s a good price for Maxtra.

Yes, I'd say so. My kettle is around 8 yrs old and is crystal clear in a hard water area & coffee tastes better too.
I clean it out with a couple of tea spoons of citric acid once a month, when changing the filter. You can also clean with white vinegar but I prefer citric acid
Good price and not Amazon, so heat from me.
The Amazon basic ones are much better IMO in the Kettle. Being using the Brita ones as tesco were selling them for £20 for 6 too.
Appreciate this is the "Plus" item, but hardly a true deal when multiple vendors are shifting same item for same money or marginally less, especially including delivery.

Yes, that's what I do with mine. I don't use the built in filter in the water tank, but only uses filtered water

The Aqua Optima are okay and last 2 months vs 1 for Brita. Personally, I find the water tastes better with Brita although once you add squash to the water there's no noticeable difference.
I always imagine that the insides of these things would look like ant farms, but for bacteria. Especially in this weather.

Great offer!
£19.33 in dunelm if not close to an Argos.

What's the difference between Maxtra and Maxtra Plus cartridges? Are they interchangeable? I have a jug filter that uses standard Maxtra ones...

They're interchangeable. It's a new generation of Maxtra but it's all good marketing and BS I think.
