That is really great price

Very good price. Anyone found these at other stores for this price?

Might be expiring stock that this store had to get rid of. Good if you use them in time

Normal "sale" prices bring them at 2/filter.

I bought them there yesterday and they still had plenty today.

They had the water jug in my local Sainsburys (Queen street Cardiff) on offer for £9, Didn't notice the cartridges though

good deal if you are into filtered water... I'd rather have it straight from the tap

Choice of filtered or straight from the tap is a no-brainer. How much the benefit is worth is the true question.

Depends on where you live and who/where the water comes from. My area, West Lancashire, has heavy chlorine content and is hard and full of lime scale. It tastes like it could be just run through a sieve directly from next doors bog to be honest. However, If I travel to my parents home in Liverpool, their tap water tastes the same as bottled mineral.

There is a distinct difference in straight from the tap and filtered water taste, especially in tea or coffee. There is also the benefit of the charcoal filters removing harmful particles that can't be tasted like lead and copper in older installation.

If you can get them this cheap I'd bulk buy.

HINT: I let the filter counter on the jug run over as it's only a guide to the replacement time. With only two of us using it I can run the timer twice before noticing a change in the filtered water.

Went into my Sainsburys Beaconsfield this afternoon and asked staff to scan Brita water filter (6 Pack) and it came-up as £24.

As I drove out of car park I was stopped by Police in an unmarked car and asked to park-up as he wanted to speak to me. Another marked Police car arrived and blocked me in and the Police Officer said he was detaining me as Sainsburys security staff had seen me "grabbing items from peoples trolleys'.

Another police car arrived on the scene in the car park as I was being searched quickly followed by a Police Transit van.

Sainsbury's staff had apparently 'identified' me from video surveillance as a thief stealing from customers handbags and purses. Sainsurys staff were stood around looking as I was questioned and searched. Other customers arriving in the car park were all looking at me surrounded by about seven Police officers, two marked and one unmarked Police car and a Police van.

My ID was confirmed, both me and my car were searched and I was questioned about who I was, what was my my occupation, where I had been, what had I been doing, was I known to Police, did I have anything on me the Police should be aware of, who was the registered keeper of the car, who was that person, (my partner), was I insured to drive, etc.

After about twenty minutes of standing in the freezing cold sleet I was released.

I won't be rushing to Sainsburys anytime soon.

wow at police story

I don't blame the Police as they were rightly responding to allegations made by Sainsburys staff and although slow (or thorough depending on how you interpret it) did what they had to in a professional manner ... although I wasn't too pleased with my iPhone being placed on the Police car roof in the rain and sleet while they searched me

Tempted though I was to go into Sainsburys and ask the manager to justify the actions of staff and show me the video of me apparently 'stealing from other customers trolleys, handbags and purses' I did not want to inflame the incident but will pursue the matter with their head office as it was utterly humiliating and completely false.

I didn't even get the HotUKDeal I went in for.

Thank you, I got the last two couple of days ago :).
