I'm sure it's the same price in-store at Mothercare (not on web).

ace car seat, I managed to get 1 when they were £55 in argos back in Sept. Only gutted i didn't buy 2 as i'm now looking for another one for the 2nd car and I refuse to spend £90 : (

Ive just bought the Britax Trio - Benno from Kiddicare.com. This seat is for ages 9 mths - 11 yrs covering groups 1,2,3. Had a good look around and this was a bargain at 59.99. Mothercare and Argos both have this seat and are more expensive!!

The Trio is an old model....Mothercare haven't sold it for a good while (over a year) as Britax replaced this stage car seat with the Evolva 123. The Trio didn't fair particularly well in side impact tests at the time, and as I recall soon after was dropped by Britax and they brought out the Evolva 123 which offered a lot more side impact protection.

Britax have moved away from seats that split to form just a booster and this has been the case for over a year now, maybe even two....the Trio fell into that category and I think that and the poor performance in side impact tests resulted in them dropping it. They dropped the Freeway at the same time (it too faired badly in side impact tests).....they were sold off and came back as the Fisher Price Lightweight car seat for a short time. Britax then updated it, increased side impact protection and it's now called the Prince.

Other thing to point out with the Trio is that it's VERY upright and no recline facility making it unsuitable for younger children...the Eclipse is a far better choice from a safety and comfort point of view!
