This extended rear facing car seat will keep your little one safely rear facing until 18kg (approx age 4 for the 'average' child).

I think it's due for release next month but tbh not entirely sure what's going to warrant the extra £100+ as I can't spot that many changes.
Just to note this has quite a short shell so won't last until 4 years if ukur little one is tall (check your red book for height projections). My friends little one has it and at 2 and a half she's nearly grown out of it.

I presume it's an Isize version that is coming out.
The testing differences is that the new version will have to pass new side impact tests, side impact tests are not done on the old regulations. And the forward and rear facing tests are now to be done at higher more realistic speeds than 30 mph.

This existing dualfix did well if I remember correctly in the more realistic independent crash tests like adac. It's still a very good seat swivel seat for the £200 price mark. Heat added!
My 4 year old still fits in this but she is on the small side. I paid over £300 for it so this is a great deal!

I think it’s got a bigger shell, to accommodate a child up to the I-size requirement of 105cm (the existing Dualfix doesn’t have the height to match the 18kg weight limit and a lot of parents have been disappointed to find their child outgrowing the seat by height well before they are 4 years old or weigh 18kg).
It’s also got the new side impact protection pop-out bits that Britax are introducing on all their new models.

Britax have always side-impact tested all their seats in-house to the same speeds that the new I-size regulations now require. So this original Dualfix has been subjected to the same level of side impact testing that the new I-size version has, just ‘unofficially’ that’s all.
Great find... Paid £300 for mine a year ago...
Awesome, needed a new one. Was waiting for black Friday but can't see this one going cheaper than that.
SEAT10 now expired
Got 2 of these car seats, much more cosy than my previous mothercare one and more secure too. Great price, I managed to get a similar offer when boots did a flash sale
***An Urgent recall has been issued on the Romer Dualfix**

In March 2018, Britax Römer issued a voluntary recall of certain classic DUALFIX child car seats due to a potential safety issue with a component in these seats. This potentially affected component was used in production batches sold between 3rd November 2017 and 22nd March 2018.
