Insomuch as anything in the money extracting world of overpriced infant perambulation can be described as a hot deal, this offer stuck me as notably less expensive than the competition, the item commanding an additional £40 or more elsewhere, including, bizarrely, exactly the same product on another page at Argos.

Still expensive for a pushchair, you can get decent ones for under £100

Too right, although this one can be configured to be rear-facing, which is apparently a requirement in our case. It's also suitable from birth for reasons which I don't understand, i.e. I don't understand why any other wouldn't be, but possibly the key excuse for its enormous expense (compared to economic reality if not to a whole fleet of even more outrageous offerings) is that it acts as the base unit into which a host of other ludicrously expensive paraphernalia such as apparently now mandatory car seats, carry cots and miscellaneous other baby transportation devices.

Good price for this particular pushchair so heat from me:thumbsup:

Anyone have this and know if its any good?

I'm soon to be a father and have been researching into the whole unknown world of babydom.

I've read that rear-facing is good so that the pusher can interact with the newborn baby from a very young age while out and about and create a bond. Having a newborn baby face out to the world without their familiar mother/father face in sight can be intimidating.

This particular pushchair is suitable for newborns from birth because it can recline completely flat allowing the young baby to lie flat on its back while being transported. Babies under 3 months should not be kept in upright or reclined positions for long periods of time as it affects their fragile spine.

The car seat that is compatible with the pushchair (called the Britax Baby Safe) also recieved good reviews on mumsnet so if you can find both as a package at a reasonable price it would be a sound buy.
