British Airways Club World £200 Off Code - Eg LHR-NYC for £895 (£820 with shareholder discount)
If you will NEVER consider flying Business Class then move on and please don't vote cold :-) This IS a hot deal!
British Airways is offering Executive Club Members* £200 off any Club World "Lowest Fare". As an example they currently offer Club World to NYC for £1095 so it gets lowered to £895 which is the lowest I have ever seen Club World fares.
At page 4 when it shows "Your Price Quote" below the total price it will have a link "Got a promotion code?". Click the link and enter BAUK-VALUED and the price will be discounted £200.
And if you are a BA Share holder with shareholder discount the price is £1020 and reduces to £820 using your personal shareholder discount log in.
Flying Club World gets you access to the Club Lounge at the airport, fully flat bed, superb food and wine on board. Check out Club World:

Thing is i never get people/business that fly first class as a normal ticket is, what normally a third of the cost of first class? you still get there albeit in less comfort, but the fact that so many people are willing to pay this has now really hit home because i bet first class bookings have gone down by at least 50% beacuse of the times. So now when they're all struggling they will al reduce prices. I Reckon first class should be a maximum double of economy, not how much they can charge and get away with.
First Class gives you Pyjamas and a duvet and they make your bed up while you are getting changed in the toilet.
Flying Business or First really is a delight and means your holiday starts that bit sooner and ends that bit later. It is worth trying once in your life. But be careful as when you have done it you won't want to fly further back in the cabin ever again, lol!
Still, great deal and I wish I had the spare cash to experience the upgraded space and service that BA are offering on overseas flights.
"at the peak it use to be £1500 odd." - and the rest... £1500 would have been considered cheap...
i was lucky enough to travel in club on a business trip to vancouver with ba and made the 9 hour flight zoom by, excellent service and the bed was just fantastic
well worth paying the extra just to get out of cattle class, and at this price its not that much extra and well affordable, top deal

or even free taxi to get you to the airport....

hot deal
OT - but i place I work makes that seat!
But the promotion code doesn't seem to be accepted...even after logging in to my executive club account first before the booking.
EDIT: Ahh, when I try to book the Cairo route it gives me a proper error message, saving that the flight has to be at least £1000 return to qualify for the discount.
If you can afford it, get it while you can.
i paid around £700 last year for Premium Economy (which itself was a vast improvement on cattle class)
Business class fare are normally £2000 (outside of a global recession) odd for LHR-NY flights.
Once in a lifetime opportunity for me.
A benefit of a quiet economy long haul flight is that you can occupy more than one seat, potentially getting more space than in business class.
Many BA executive club deals are also restricted depending on membership type.
I've managed to get under £2k quite regularly on the NA routes. Even as low as £1100 a few times. In general I've found they range between £1500 - £3000. With the bargains generally being midweek, or sometimes late on Saturday and Early on Sunday.
The flights which get you in for Monday morning and leave late on friday are generally the worst for bargains. And then you get spill over to the flights that get you in late Sunday night or leave early Saturday.
You can use the Galleries Club lounges at T5. There are 2 in the main terminal and one in the B satellite. Ask for champagne as it is available but not on show. :-D
Taxi offer won't apply to this fare.
The First toilets are slightly larger, have a fold down seat and though it is a bit tight and is clean and adequate. The front toilet of the 2 has a window which is frosted but unfrosts when you lock the door. Was changing once while still boarding and realised anyone on the walkway could see in!
Ah yes sorry, applies to fares over £1000 only.
Anyone can apply to become an Executive Club Member (previously you could only join once you had booked a quilifying flight). The shareholder discount makes it a better deal but £895 is still HOT!
The pic shows the aisle seat. The window seat beside it faces backwards, is extremely private and lets you window gaze quite happily.
Yup had that before, great if it happens but at least this way you get gauranteed space if a busy route.
I had to go through the booking a second time to get the promo box to show. PM me if you still have trouble and try clearing the cookies.
It's not just the productivity you have to consider. Would it be acceptable for an employer to ask an office employee to sit in a confined box for 8-12 hours twice a week for months on end? Thats how I always put it to my employer.
If it was an occaisional trip in the month or the budget was really tight I didn't mind. But when I was expected to fly back and forth regularly I would insist on flying business/first class.
Corporate rates are generally quite competitive for Business class where there is a large margin for the airlines. Also Business Class fares are generally flexxible, so often the difference between those and a fully flexible economy fare isn't as big as the headline rates suggest.
Even for personal travel flying Business Class can make sense. If you're paying several thousand pounds for a holiday, it makes sense to ensure you enjoy everyday. When I fly economy I often find the first day of the holiday is wasted recovering from the long sleepless flight. And the last night/day is wasted because you know you have a horrible flight ahead of you (tends to wipe out the relxing effect of the holiday to some extent aswell).
As long as you pick a Club World seat next to a window you can see out the window.
Executive Club is free and easy to join and the deal price is £895 - it clearly mentions £820 for shareholders so I don't see why you were expecting that to be the price?
The sensible thing to do would be to go cattle class and then splash out on a nice hotel. think about it £600+ for extra comfort and pampering on a 6-8 hour flight OR 4/5 nights in a plush/better standard hotel which you would have more time to enjoy. Business class/First class on airtravel is really meant for 2 types of travellers:
The business traveller (their company picks up the bill)
The independant traveller who has plenty of disposible income and has made it big by either working hard/inherited/won the jackpot on the lottery/living off proceeds of organised crime but not yet caught by authorities and so forth...
Virgin Premium Economy is the best I've managed so far.
Hot deal.
Chris
Your first example doesn't always hold true. For example if you were to go safari in peak season you could easily be paying $600+ pppn. From experience the first day is wasted recovering from the flight if you get stuck on a busy economy flight. And the last night is often tempered by the anticipation of another busy cramped restless flight. Considering you would have paid $1200+ for those two nights, I would say it makes sense in that case to pay for a Business Class flight.
It really depends how much the rest of the holiday is going to cost and secondly how much your free/holiday time means to you. To give you another example I've had to fly longhaul on a busy route for a two day wedding (didn't have anymore holidays left). In that case flying economy would have been a waste of money, as it may have got me there, but in a state not suitable for the purpose of the trip.
Can someone put instructions on how to use both the shareholder discount and the promotional code to get the discount for both in the same booking. I am able to do only one option at a time. If I use the share holder login, It does not show me the login option for the Executive Club. If I use the Executive club login, I am unable to use share Holder details.
Sorry call me an idiot, but this is a window seat on display in the pic
I can't see a way of seeing out the 4 windows that the makeshift cabin blocks.
This is the aisle seat. Have a look at the thumbnail pic at the top and you see the layout better.
Let me go find a better picture...
This is a better angle so you can see the other person in at the window seat.
Are you BA checking up on us! I am always curious when people sign up especially when you chose that username? :-D
I can't check the process as my Shareholder details aren't being accepted. But a friend did manage to get the £820 price quote. It took me a few goes to get the £1095 price to show up the link to enter the code so try clearing your BA cookies and give it another go.
I couldn't think of a better user name???????
Lol! Fair enough! Sorry, I was just being paranoid as I have come across companies snooping on forums to find out loopholes etc. Not that this is a loophole!
Did you manage to get the shareholder discount and £200 off. If not try a different browser.
You have to log in to the shareholder page at www.bashareholder.com using the log in details sent to you in December from your share management company. You DO NOT use your usual BA Exec Club Log in. On the BA Shareholder page it mentions the shareholder discount and says "Click Here" to book flights.
That brings up a BA flight search page and you go through booking the flight. At page 4 when you first see the total price for your itinery it should have the "Got a promotion code" below the price. Click it and enter the code on the first post.
