Recently Virgin have been offering flights direct to Vegas for as little as £340 for September and October. Just had a look at the site and current price without discount is £462.

So won't exactly say it was hot (but not too cold either!)

Virgin need some competition on that route so hot from me!

I agree phatdaveuk that Virgin do some cracking deals - but as I can only afford cattle-class I hate Virgins old not-upgraded fleet on the LGW to Vegas route. So British Aiways gets my vote till Virgin sort out their economy seating from Gatwick.
And now that BMI have stopped their direct flight from Manchester - the competition between BA and Virgin will be great for us Vegas lovers & gamblers.

I have to agree that Virgin could do with upgrading their old 747's on this route. Not up to their usual standard...

By the way if anyone is interested the deal of the week on Virgin's site is Vegas... £599 for July (I have no idea is that is good, never been in July).

Just got back from Vegas 2 days ago.

Paid £200 return. Admittedly not direct but the changeover was an hour so would rather have the £266 in my pocket thanks.

Cold from me.

Voted HOT from me as Virgin have had to way to good for so long. Had to pay £1300 plus taxes last year as there was only a few seats available and before that it was £499 plus taxes etc booked a year in advance.

Good post as well even if it's just for our info

who did you fly with and where was your stop over

Great that BA are flying this route, expensive though. I have been LA and LAs Vegas last 2 Xmas's for well under £300.

Out of interest, how many one world miles does BA require for a N American flight and do they do one way (I know AA recently started this)

It's about time BA flew this route, should give Virgin a run for their money!
Newer aircraft, shiney new terminal, know who i'd rather fly with!

Yeah, Virgin really let themselves down on this route.

yeah i'd sooner fly virgin too:-D, better chance of seeing your luggage again!:-D

Virgin rock for customer service, BA are shocking so would never use again unless I was given free tickets.

Will be taking Virgin when I fly to NYC in Sept and wish they flew to Vegas from Heathrow lol

Just got back 2 weeks ago and wanna go back again

this is not cheap - what I want to know is who is doing it for £200 ;-)
