why the photo for a plane on fire ??

it's exactly what I'm thinking

Heat. Great price. The pic is because a BA plane caught fire on the runway in LA last night

And when you say LA, you mean Las Vegas, right?

Er no.......why would u think that?

Heat from me.

Too that that caught fire

Is a great code - saw this last night but wasnt working

You can actually get direct flights to new york for jan, feb, march dates for 7 nights from birmingham using the code (is for American Airlines) for £257 on the BA website. Not sure how long those fares will last.

Remember to change the departure to LHR (it will select London, England). For some reason the automated airport code is LCY which doesn't work...

Exactly what I was thinking. Good price but totally inappropriate picture oO

Banned

it won't work for me wen I put the code in I'm goin from Manchester to ny

Where does th century code gp

No need for the picture even with what's been in the news earlier today about the plane catching fire

Smoking hot deal (_;)

Just thought I'd let everyone know I've done a search for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. The £63 came off for all of us individually, so in effect the infant flies for free. Might be useful for some people to know

This will catch fire!!!!

2 weeks at Easter to Miami (Leaving on the Thursday so you might need to miss 1 day of school)
2 adults 2 kids - £1442 (via madrid)

That's amazing

Can't see this one getting off the ground... (but in all seriousness good deal).

Predictable bad taste - would you have found it even funnier if people had died?

Thats a bit extreme. Although it is in bad taste I imagine the joke was made on the basis that nobody died.

anybody seen where you can enter the voucher code when booking a holiday (flights + hotel)?

afroylnt

Er no.......why would u think that?

Because the plane caught fire in Las Vegas which is in Nevada?

Any info on what the 'CELEBRATE' code restrictions are? Wondering if I could use it on Miami flights next summer!

Ludicrous. Even with a direct MIA-LHR inbound it's less than £1700

If you look at the pictures associated with the plane catching fire. Look at how many people are carrying their carryon luggage. They must have stopped to grab their bags. Probably slowing down the evacuation, when you really need speed.

'Joke'? Predicted the type of comment but didn't spot the humour myself. A yawn at best.

WHOA!! Thanks for this. I was literally about to book flights using a bucketshop, as the BA website was working out about £100 dearer to book direct. Had a look to see what the code did, and it only went and knocked £252 off the total cost of the booking!

Miami (therefore Orlando, after a scenic drive!), school summer holidays, total cost of flights for a family of 4... £1241. That'll do me nicely!!

Thanks for this, booked flights to new york from gatwick in March for £316 instead of £380

Hi what dates did you select

Fantastic, quick fire sale!

It sure is! A bit of faff involved though... flights originate in Jersey, and the plane change transfer is a Gatwick/Heathrow one. Punch in the dates of 20 July-4 August (loads of others available, but that's what we've got) on the BA site, and select flights from Jersey to Miami and it should come up at £210 outbound and £180 inbound.

Our plan is to head to Gatwick the night before, park the car, fly to Jersey (I've got Avios that'll cover the cost), have a quick stop overnight, then early morning catch our proper booked BA flight to Miami, which starts with the flight back to Gatwick. Collect the car at Gatwick, drive round to Heathrow and get on the plane to Miami (which is American Airlines, so better food, comfort etc). On the return journey, the flight is direct from Miami to Heathrow, where our car and luggage will be waiting for us, so no faff on the way home. We'll "miss" the return part from Gatwick to Jersey and be back home before we should even be Jersey-bound!

If you don't fancy Miami (we're doing Orlando but couldn't get flights to there for even double the cost of this) then there are also school holiday date deals out of Jersey for New York and Los Angeles too. We're already off to LA at Easter on a similar deal (with a night in Copenhagen!!) or I'd have gone for that.

It's the departure airport that did it rather than the dates - Jersey! I've just posted above with full info
