aww steph of course I remember now!!! Brilliant, tell her to have a lucky spin for me

Well jel

I want to take the missus to New York as a surprise for her birthday. It's in October, keeping my eyes peeled for some good prices for end of October, but I am tempted for November as I saw your jet2 deal last week too!

Is there anything going last minute with hotel for say thursday or friday for 3-4 days stacey?
Looking for a last min deal but having no luck x

Is anyone else having problems trying to access the BA website?

Looks like cheapest is £190 now

yeah doesnt seem to be loading, will keep trying xxx

Now then, do you need a passport to book this? (can't check atm on phone)

Don't get excited everyone.. This price is only for people who start their journey in Jersey. The Jersey to London flight arrives at the wrong airport (Gatwick). Then you have to take a bus on the busiest stretch of the M25 to Heathrow. The £321 is very misleading as it does not apply to 99% of people reading this.. Therefore must be cold

Couldnt you just "miss" the Jersey flight and go from Heathrow, presume you'd still have to check in again anyway.

Can't you book the jersey flights, get the cheaper price and the just use the heathrow to US sector. I presume the jersey flights although connecting require you to check in again at london anyway??

Always strange these combination starting from some obscure location to get the cheapest fare. Why not book do self check in so you will have boarding cards and then start your journey from Heathrow. This is especially good as your leaving the arriving aiport (Gatwick) to do the transatlantic section from Heathrow. Airlines aways state you miss one leg of the journey they will cancel the whole ticket. Its the same as requiring one way fares, always cheaper to book a return and dont do the return portion madness on there part.

There was a system problem. Please try again later.

I'm no expert, but with this sort of journey if you don't check in for the first flight, I think they cancel the rest all the way though.

I'm glad it's not just me who can't get onto BA, I thought it was my internet!

Thanks for the great find Stacey, all the New York ones are of interest to us, as we want to to an East Coast Road trip.

Looking forward to the deals you will find for the summer!

Indeed, most airlines will cancel the flights if you don't actually fly the first leg! Same for booking a return and only using a single on the way back, if you don't check in for the outbound flight, the inbound will be cancelled!

Hi stacey any flights from manchester to New York pleaseeeee

Hi stacey is there any cheap New York flights from manchester??

The only bit you can miss of a return flight without affecting your whole booking is the very last leg.

Good deal from Dublin if anyone needs it and if you can get a good connecting flight know which I would prefer just to clear customs in Dublin

hotukdeals.com/dea…669

I know I might sound cheap or what not, but with British airways, can you pay a deposit for the flights and pay the rest off leading up to a month before departure? I know some companies do.

Just helps me with spreading the payments out.

Cheers

Lyssie

Don't get your bags checked all the way through. It's not difficult.

Hi Stacey,

Nice find. Just to add:

- You can earn 6916 Avios Points for a return flight from Heathrow to JFK

- I have always struggled to use my Avios points but there has been an interesting addition today which I have seen on another site (eagle eyed chanchi).

BA have just added a new redemption option of BA experiences britishairways.com/en-…ios. Available in most major cities in the world, you can redeem your Avios points for local attractions or sightseeing tours. Here a few example of experiences offered in London for May:
Thames river cruise with afternoon tea – 5,500 Avios per person
Wartime London tour in a period 1930′s vehicle – 4,550 Avios per person
Day trip to Paris on Eurostar – 24,250 Avios per person
Stonehenge / Windsor / Bath day trip – 13,450 Avios per person
Fortnum & Mason afternoon tea – 9,250 Avios per person
Hard Rock Café two course meal, soft drinks and queue jump – 3,450 Avios per person
Les Miserables (top price tickets) plus dinner at L’Escargot – 20,600 Avios per person
London Pass (free admission to 60 sites and no queuing) – 8,200 Avios per person
London Dungeon ‘no queue’ tickets – 3,750 Avios per person

Anyway back to the deal - so as well as the flight to New York with the avios points you could get a free Hard Rock Café two course meal, soft drinks and queue jump. Or choose another experience.

Heat added.

p.s. I saw the large Morrisons pork pies for half price yesterday (these are not the market street ones but just in case you are interested
