£5/kg if you buy two 500g bags is quite a good price for these if you don't mind them frozen and nothing nasty injected into them (:

It's probably been around for a while now but some people may not have noticed.

Frozen chicken at asda is £4.49 a kg, but might have water injected
Edited by: "Hpi_matrix" 21st Feb 2012

Been eating these for a few months now. They are top quality, pure chicken.

Look pretty good for the price ... might have to give them a go!

My butcher won't be too happy though!

100% chicken, nothing added. That will make a nice change. Good deal.

Did you know that they are not allowed to inject a whole chicken with water.

Banned

are they halal?

I buy a pack of 5kg (portion controlled) breast fillets from Makro for £20.99. you can 20 fillets split them up into two's, bag then freeze. can do much for with fillets more meals options cook whole, cut into strips, etc.

These and big packs of bacon are about the only thing i buy in Makro, i cant honestly see the point of Makro as most items they sell can be purchased cheaper in the supermarkets.

Yeah the Makro ones are good as well. sometimes get those instead of Costco ones (which are similar sized) Generally get Costco ones simply because we use the store more...

I get the Costco fresh chicken and freeze that, guess I'd be better off with frozen ones, but live a bit away from my nearest one

not halal, heat from me...

Been on offer for aaaaaaages at that, although it's very much worth it, it's the exact same chicken i buy and it seems top quality, good post, heat added.

Valley Farms frozen chicken is £3 for 750g in my local Sainsburys... Would make a deal but I cba so someone else feel free lol.

Might be Frozen Valley chicken thinking about it... lol.

But yeah, everyone in my house this week bought VF chicken cause it's so cheap :D. Keep an eye out for it at sainsburys anyway.

And me, I cannot believe the stink that comes from a halal butchers shop!!

468g is £2 all day long in asda? not really a good deal

I'm sure it's been 2 for £5 for months, you can mix and match with other frozen meats....

Where on earth is this?!

East London. The price varies each week but the quality is far superior to supermarket rubbish. I wish more people would go and support their local butcher.

Except your butcher is at the back of the shop with a massive syringe and a bag of saline.

Cold not Halal
