Got 2 days thanks
I'll use this to charge every device I own - hope they have plenty of coal!
this is one of the problems with the utility market, most people have never moved from BG even though they are often the most expensive. government tries to get people to switch but hey why save hundreds when you can get a couple of days free electric.
Got 12 days, and my tariff is free electric every Saturday, so 64 days free a year

If I changed supplier right now from BG I'd actually be paying 15% more than the next cheapest! That's before any free days of electricity!

Just been told the terms and conditions are incorrect this offer is only available to dual fuel customers! What a joke
14 days free I've received 🏼
Nothing to click on for me.

Just signed up and we have electricity only supplied , nothing to say it was for dual fuel customers alone

Thanks OP got 20 days ' free '
This is obviously for existing customers happy with their provider. No it's not worth holding off a switch however if you are for example on a fixed price plan in contract (as I am), or like the majority do not switch this is an easy freebie. Think a lot of voters totally missed the point on this.

Even if your not sure if your going to switch it's still worth clicking as if you don't you definitely don't qualify!

How do you get the free electricity tariff.

It was a tariff they had recently (free 9-5 on a Saturday or Sunday) fixed until Mar 2018. I am on the Sunday version so the September price hikes do not affect me.

Great! You've chosen to get free electricity with Loyalty Days, from Rewards.
Enjoy your 2 free days of daytime electricity. Look out for your Loyalty Days credit on your next bill after six and 12 months, or after 12 months if you Pay As You Go.
Not for Sainsbury's Energy customers (effectively British Gas in disguise). Let me see why? Because some of those customers (including myself) have a 'fairly' cheap fixed rate at the moment compared to what is currently available. Unfortunately, soon to end (for me) and I will consider changing suppliers. No loyalty here. Only problem is will have to pay more whoever I decide to go with as prices energy continually rising. They only go one way and that's up.

Thanks for the heads up. It's a decent freebie for existing customers so don't know why it's cold.

I got 16 days but got t wait 12 months for it lol
make the most of it by turning up the heat.
Feeling a bit thick as I don't understand. I am entitled to 16 free electricity days. My interpretation was they work out average usage and give you a credit x16 in my case. Am I wrong as folk talking about turning the electricity up?

This is why I originally pointed out that the saving isnt that much. Hypothetical situation (very simplified):

Period of 10 days. Use 100kw/h on day 1, 0kw/h for the next 9 days.
Situation 1 you pay sod all as you claim day 1 free.
Situation 2 as is the case here you pay for 90kw/h and get 10kw/h free

Now expand that, 20 days on the same rule you get to pay for 95kw/h etc.

So the longer the period the less you actually get back and as this is over 6 months/12 months..... Well you see where i'm going with this. Tight arse BG ********.
I got 20 free days but what does that mean.. when do they get taken off my bill?

They stopped the free weekend electric now as its reached its target so when I asked they said no but you will stay on it but I do get 16 days free electric when they decide to give it me as it can take upto 12 months and its only free 9am to 5pm I was told so they work out what you use in the 12 months waiting to calculate and then credit for that amount.

Terms on site -11. Your average daily electricity usage is calculated over a period of 6 months if you are a credit customer and over a period of 12 months if you are a

prepayment customer. To calculate the amount of credit you receive for your electricity usage between 9am-5pm per day, we apply a percentage of

35% to your average daily electricity usage and use the unit rate of your current tariff at the time that the credit is applied.
