This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

They may not be the cheapest for everyone and you can find plenty of horror stories about all of the big energy companies etc etc etc...
but anyone who is already with BG and signed up to their Rewards programme check the Rewards section of the site as I had a £5.99 Sky Store voucher there waiting (they say there are 60000 codes to giveaway by 30th Sept).

You can have way more saving than this one crappy voucher if you just …You can have way more saving than this one crappy voucher if you just switch your supplier for a better and cheaper one.I don't get it why people stay and overpay with "big 6"?

I've just done a comprehensive comparison because my current deal with EDF is ending, and British Gas were by far the cheapest supplier I could find - with a fixed tariff to boot! I'm actually saving £6 over the next year compared to what I paid on the best deal with EDF last year!
Can’t see the deal on my account

As I’ve said, this is a deal for some of those people who already have some kind of BG product. I’m not saying they’re the cheapest and I’ve no interest in encouraging anyone to sign up with them or debating whether people should be with them. I have my homecare with them but my energy with someone else.If you know for a fact you’re getting a cheaper product elsewhere then good for you

If people are locked in then good offer, so until they can switch then might as well grab what they can.
Great find. Thank you x

I just can’t believe the amount of people that still lock into them
This offer isnt on my rewards account (they never are but perhaps its because Im new to BG) but Ive only just moved to them as they were the cheapest fixed rate for me (checked through MoneySavingExpert).
Thanks for the heads up, I always forget to check, I got it too. I too only have the heating cover.
Cheers OP!
Just got mine and got Endgame for £8!
Cheers. Shows up if you use the app.

Shame sky store only rent out SD films !

I also switched to one of their exclusives 4 weeks back, by far the cheapest including home care
thanks op
Nice one, thank you

Ok, they do indeed have a cheaper deal, they must have upped their game since the last switch I made, or I blinked and missed it. Just checking uswitch and their first deal is £28 more expensive than the one I’m currently on, their next deal is £268 more, the one after that is £319. Still a big jump between products that can catch people out, and why should you be part of a club. “The cheapest on the market” I still don’t agree

Edit:
If you go straight to the BG website, only the two expensive tariffs show up, not the cheaper Aug2020 deal....

Free's free, so heat, but Sky Store digital movies are only available in a maximum resolution of 720p, which is pretty poor in this day and age.

If anyone is thinking of putting the voucher toward buying a digital film then I reckon the Chili deals are much better:

£10 credit & an Odeon voucher for £5.99 (possibly £4.19)
hotukdeals.com/dea…724

50% off two digital purchases with the code CHILI25
hotukdeals.com/vou…565
Worked for me. Purchased London/Olympus Has Fallen box set for £4.99

Why don't you just give me £5.99 off my bill? Rather than giving me a chav sky voucher.

It's not just the energy accounts, it also applies to some of their homecare accounts (whatever they call plumbing, electric or boiler cover)

BG are £115 more expensive than the cheapest in our area just because MSE keep telling us they have big offers on three of the big six doesn’t mean they are the cheapest.

Everyone should do a proper comparison and not just stick to the big 6. I check ours ever month and we have never been able to get a good deal with the big six, saved probably over a grand in the last 10 years by not being with them.

good deal if you have managed to get a deal on their boiler cover.

Just be aware if you leave BG before you use voucher then you lose it, I found out the ha4d way!

Back in the day BG rewards like Wuntu and 02 had better freebies and worth more, loved my free Hive items

Only ever had one reward when they first started this a couple of years back, nothing since.
You can apply the voucher to your sky store account and keep it for later. Currently got 11.98 on my account from this and the previous voucher they had.
Great find op and claimed, thanks
I'm with BG and don't have a contract/fixed price etc as it will cost me £50 a year to do so. So I'll save that way.
Not saying it's took 4 months to sort out my smart meters again and still waiting.
Thanks. I didn't think it would work since I only have boiler maintenance with them.
Nice - I just get my boiler cover from them (and will probably switch that next month anyway), but the offer was there for me
I didn't realise Hot UK Deals was now a energy comparison site
Thank you
Cheers Op!
Got mine, thanks OP
Many thanks for your post

Me neither, I’ve been with them over 20 years. Not to worry though, it’s not anything I can’t access via kodi
