This is the regular price, however is hard to beat for the price per kg and the sugar beet is grown in Britain.

Did you know this is the only sugar grown in Britain?
The sugar beet we use travels a short distance to the factory (an average of only 28 miles) direct from the fields around Bury St. Edmunds in East Anglia. We work with 1,200 local farmers to grow the beet which is then made into our range of homegrown sugars for families all over the country.

Sustainability is an important part of what we do. At every stage we are committed to reducing energy use, emissions and waste. All our sugar bags are made from recyclable paper, and the way we make our sugar is so efficient, we provide energy to the local community.

Yes we're proud to be the only sugar grown in Britain and that from field to spoon, our sugar travels fewer miles than any other to reach you.
We work directly with 1,200 British farmers in East Anglia to grow our sugar beet.
The sugar beet then travels directly from farm to local factory - an efficient journey from field to spoon.
In just few simple steps our factory in Bury St Edmunds turns the sugar beet into our range of homegrown sugars!
Sustainability is nothing new to us - we've been working on it for 30 years.

Why not try our Caster for your baking
A finer grain that's easy to mix in, trapping more air for tighter sponges.

Smart Thinking:
Geese, it seems, have a sweet bill. Maybe that's why 1/4 of the world's Pink-footed Geese forage for food in East Anglia's sugar beet fields.
Proudly grown in Britain

True and good for you. However, for those who haven't weaned themselves off the white stuff, this is a good deal
Been that price for ages.
getting low... time to me to make a trip down to morrisons and buy another 10packs+.
Sugar beet is cheap that's why they make it. Stick with cane sugar it's the healthier option
The reason why it's 'cheap' is because it has low food miles and the UK is one of the most efficient sugar producers in the world!

Sugar cane is still harvested by burning their crops first! Imagine what that does to the environment?

Care to back that odd claim up with some evidence? Given that granulated white sugar is exactly the same, whether it's made from beet or cane.
Sugar is definitely sugar, whether made with cane or beet. Manufacturing processes are marginally different, but the end product is still sugar! importing cane and the transport used must have an effect on the environment as opposed to a locally sourced beet.
