Must admit I do like BHS hampers but £35-£70 for £10's (in my estimate) worth of stuff, even including the hamper is a bit OTT imo.

Hey I've responded in your thread.

BHS will not do direct delivery for Hampers, unless you want to send the gift with invoice and without any gift message. Real shame!!

I've been watching these - been at £35 for ages......

Is there any list as to what the contents are?

That's more a ale hamper with other stuff you have never heard off - don't drink ale so that would be worthless to me.
Thanks for the info.

I've long since learnt to steer clear of anything labeled 'gastro'! It either upsets your stomach or your wallet. Sometimes both!

Looking at that list, the ales are £1.66 each, the crisps are £2.30 each and the nuts are £2.40. So the hamper basket costs you about £15!

BHS Buyers Heed Savings Every Year BHS Reduces its overpriced products to half price making them still more expensive than other charge in the first place. Have often thought of reporting them to trading standards as they totally mislead the public with their original price- not the true market value of the goods Pick up a cheap basket & make your own that way its unique & you wont get ripped off.

Nothing new here - these hampers are "half price" every year

I think they sell them for full price for one day so they can call it half price as its totally misleading to see them advertise half price

I ordered one of these last year and was so disappointed when it came I sent it back. Hardly anything in it and the crisps were completely crushed. This year I am filling a hamper myself, much cheaper

These are expensive but a nice gift. If you like them for the basket, B&M did a cheaper hamper for £15 last year. Worth a look in there.

Will be cut to 70% off in a week or so.

They seem expensive. 4 bottles of beer, 2 tubes of crisps & 4 jars of nuts for £70 originally. No wonder they are reduced, I doubt anyone was buying at that price! Still pricey at half the price!

Voted hot as good reduction, however I find all their Xmas stuff overpriced.

Contents are a load of crap

I bought a couple last year, and I cannot say I would buy them again. Also the carrier threw them over a 6 foot gate, some contents smashed. BHS refunded the whole order. good on them.

I ordered a couple of hampers this year, not the one shown, but the family hamper and the luxury hamper.
They are nice and for £25 I think it worth it.

The contents aren't too 'gastro' and you do get to keep the baskets !!!

Delivery took a little longer than I would have liked, but came very well packaged and my mother in law was impressed!

I got the last bhs hamper in blackpool for a tenner! Was originally 100 pounds. The basket is lovely. I was just lucky for once!
