Says limited to 20 items per customer, they normally have a big box of the steaks on display by the butchers at mine?

I dont know what other people think but I found the quality of Morrison's steaks not very good just have a look at the picture of the steak from Morrisons on this listing which is from their website. With good sirloin steak one would just have a thin fat along one edge on morrisons you have the fat plus thick long hard gristle in the middle ish and another fat piece on the other edge which is typical of most of steaks they sell so buy the tim one cuts all these unreadable bits off it probably would be 10 to 20% of the weight lost so it's no longer £13 kg but more like 15.50 per kg.

Yes, but you can have a good rummage around the box and fish out the good ones?

Nothing wrong with fat if it's a good steak, but you're right, you need to dodge the gristle...

I'm going to have a look tomorrow, I know supermarket steaks are a bit hit and miss (Lidl seem to be the best) but with the points voucher and the airtime rewards knocking over 20% off a pretty decent deal to start with, I will load up the deep freeze with £60 worth...

Ah, right. They obviously want me to spend more. I got a 9,000 points for £90 spend, and I've got another treble More Points offer on the app, which makes it £27+ worth of vouchers.

I was just hoping, and being greedy, to get an extra voucher, for an extra 7,000 x3 points.

No, 9000 is your lot, they do move the number up and down a bit, presumably based on some algorithm looking at your previous spends - any idea how you triggered the app deal?

Surely it will only treble the purchase based points?

Shhh, don't tempt fate. Just let me enjoy my steak in peace! I don't need chanting and pictures of dead animals in my children's faces. I've made sure they know where meat comes from. They've hunted their own food.

But we didn't even get a "how dare you eat a sausage you thick peasants" comment on the Morrisons breakfast deal, which I'm also looking forward to after my steak shopping tomorrow morning...

Not sure I want to venture out into this wind to buy some steak...

(mis)read it and went into big laughter.
I might be exception life long vegetarian giving heat. Heat for the efforts and pushing the mods wall.
Morrison’s steaks are tough because the meat has not been aged properly. Spend a few pence more per steak and get something you will enjoy. I personally like the fillet steak from Iceland £4.25 for a 170g steak (£25 per kilo), and no waste like on a sirloin.

I am vegan, but that did make me laugh.

For the record, I think most people do understand that meat is not healthy (saturated fat, leading onto heart disease and heart attacks, etc).

For a truly healthy meal, which will beat any meat based meal, try:
1 can baked beans (wash out the tomato sauce first)
1 can chickpeas (drain and wash - to reduce farting and stinking the place out)
some pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
a few table spoons of Lloyd Grossman's Tomato and Basil cooking sauce
a few squeezes of lime juice
some chilli sauce
Mix all of the above together and pop in a microwave for 5 minutes.

After that, mix that up with lots of vegetables and eat with humous.
Eat as much as you possibly can, to avoid eating junk, afterwards.

And remember folks, if you want to lose weight, follow a plant based diet and the weight should tumble off, without you even trying. No portion control required.
I eat roughly 2-3 times more than anybody else I know and compared to most of my meat eating male counter parts, my body weight is far lower than theirs - my waist is smaller and chest bigger than theirs.

The food quantity of most (male) meat eaters is what baffles me the most. They tend to be fat (overweight or obese), yet eat so little. Defies logic.
