by a penny yes it is!

Tesco is £5.00 a kilo.

prefer shoulder ,that was cheap at Tesco the other day .

Voted hot for a decent price and it's British. Tesco are selling New Zealand ones and Asda Australian, so should save a few 'food miles' and keep the British farmers happy. Don't forget, buy two and cut the shanks off for a nice meal in red wine sauce, the roast won't even notice them gone ! Roll on Easter !!

Tis the season to.................Fill the freezer.

All the supermarkets have good offers on joints of meat for Easter,be rude not to take advantage.:D

Crazy price. Loosing about £3.50 per kg so £7 for every leg they sell!

Tesco is charging £5.00 per kg shouting that it is less than half price, silly billy lol.

Heat

Bought some New Zealand lamb from Asda £4 per kilo, absolutely delicious.

Err... why not? Cook the whole lot, and freeze in portions. Home made ready meals for times you have no time to cook.

You guys had freezers as students?
Soooo jealous

They have it in our store at £3.99 per kg today. Bought some, cooked, portioned and frozen already. Last time I bought it, it was delicious and British too so very happy I'm supporting our own economy.

Most legs are priced around £8.00, so I'm sure you know at least another 7 students - all throw a quid in the hat and then cook the best Lamb Madras you've ever tasted. Take it that you're not studying home economics ?:p

Is it fresh or frozen?

Excellent price for BRITISH lamb - far better then the foreign stuff peddled by the usual supermarkets. Will be filling the freezer at this price.

Fresh

Only sold in in over 2 kg packs - ie £7.98 per Leg pack !! Too much for 1 person !!

What an absolute bargain!

This is like £4.00 a kilo in Asda. Has been for quite some time in the run up to Easter. They've even been running TV adverts about it.

So it gets a stonking HOT HOT HOT! from me

Awesome thanks, I'll head down there tomorrow and pick a leg up.8)

Morrisons also have legs of lamb at £3.99 a kilo - but the 10% offer with the bonus card, running at the moment, brings this down to £3.60 a kilo.

Not being funny but wouldn't be seen dead in Aldi lol.

Definitely prefer shoulder but at this price I won't be picky!

Aldi no thanks

Well that sucks. They were sold out. Total joke. It only came on offer yesterday and they didn't have a single one left.

i went day one of the offer and it was sold out.

Aha......went to Tesco uckfield, all their lamb (leg and half leg) reduced to £4 a kilo, regardless of date on package, so assume this is to match other retialers and nationwide?]

My local store in Swan Lane get a delivery every day. Went in this morning and they had some on the shelf.

Ask the manager if the shelf is empty if he has some in the store, or otherwise when he will be getting more in.

(Perhaps no more deliveries of this line now, but they should have had a daily delivery ... unless they failed to re-order. Contact head office if all else fails - they'll probably send you a goodwill voucher with your apology)

I asked 2 different staff members and they both had a look out back. Both came up with the idea they sold out. Too late now.
