Broadband (fibre max) , TV (boxsets) & landline with Sky Bundle £30 per month 18 month contract (via phone)

Thought this might help all those people caught up with BT price hike.

I tried to haggle with BT for a better deal but got no where. So I thought of finding a better alternative. Looked into vodafone but was not hearing a lot of positives from many users. I work from home and fast reliable broadband was a must. So decided to contact Sky and see if they would offer any better deals. And here’s what I am getting for £30 per month 18 month contract. I really didnt have to haggle as they offered it straightaway.

Sky TV (Boxsets) with Sky Q box 1TB - £9.50 per month.

Broadband fibre max (76mbps) - £20 per month.

One off Sky Q setup £20.

So was happy with the deal and signed up. Broadband switch taking place on 1st Dec and keeping my existing number. Tv installation 5th January 2018.

Dont think this is an advertised deal but worth giving sky a call. I have used sky’s broadband before and never had any problems.

Fibre only works if it is available in your area, and most of the network …Fibre only works if it is available in your area, and most of the network will be copper with a tiny bit of fibre somewhere in the system,I just left sky broadband 14mb download for 30pm,They refused to give me a better deal until i left and then they offered free line rental,But i had already setup with virgin for 30 pm,virgin gives me fibre at 85mb download, fibre can only ever acheive 45mb,virgin are capable of 450mb download soon.

So Virgin gives you fibre at 85mb download

But fibre can only achieve 45mb

And Virgin are going to be capable of 450mb download soon ( with fibre I presume)

Good deal. What sky tV package is it? Any free calls included?

I was with Sky for a very long time, I tried my best to get a deal before my contract ended on 13th November, the best they offered:

SKY TV VARIETY (Sky HD)
SKY FIBRE UNLIMITED (38mb)
WEEKEND AND EVENING CALLS
£50

Good deal considering your getting Fibre Max for £1.01 after line rental

I had the same issue. The thing is that they will only cough up a good deal if you call to leave. Literally say you want to leave. Don't ask them for a deal and they will caught up one in an instant. I got fibre unlimited for £20 a month on a 12 month term after telling them to bugger off.

I think the tv package is called boxsets and no free calls on landline. Dont tend to use them so no need for me. But i think there are talk adons.

I was looking at virgin but they dont provide any service round here. I have been quoted between 55 - 76mbps so will see how much I get in once installed.

Do you need to add £18.99 line rental to this deal?

Line rental are now included in the broadband package or at least for most providers.

Wow! Well this is a monster deal then! Will call Sky in the morning and see if it's available for existing customers.

I got 35Mbps with skys 38Mbps fibre, I get 110Mbps with virgins 100Mbps

I left B.T this week thanks to ukhd guys telling me about the price increase in the new year!
Rung then up and would only take my bill down to £46pm for fibre, calls & line rental.
Called Sky and was also offered this £30 deal for a 18 month contract with 18 month discount.
I was promised by Sky that i will only pay £30pm for the full contract term....NO BRAINER!
BYE BYE B.T

Ohhh forget to also mention i can also order the new sky sound bar for £299 which has rave reviews and should retail at £799.
This bit of kit rivals the likes of Sonos.

No only BT fibre can achieve 45mb, and will cost a fortune, if it is even available,

As line rental will always be on top of the broadband,

Virgin will be able to supply 450mb download soon with their fibre network,

i pay Virgin 30pm no line rental, for 100mb download,

As most of the network is fibre.

I've got BT fibre ( although it's only fibre to the exchange, then copper to my house) I get 72mbps, I pay £30 a month including line rental.
My contract is ending soon so will cancel and sign up again in wife's name.

Sky Fibre Max is 80mb which I get.
BT Infinity 2 also gets the same speed.

Techmoan on YouTube was only partially impressed by the Sky sound box. It does have some issues.

Any existing customers manage to get this?

This echoes a similar experience I had last year. BT were being tight with a deal on a new 12 month contract so I rang Sky, said I was with BT and asked whether they could better my offer (which they did, though not quite as good as this one). I think the fact of saying you're leaving BT is what makes Sky so keen to cooperate.

I have found it to be luck of the draw when contacting Sky for deals, hence I left them earlier this year. £30 for box sets and fibre max seems a good deal when box sets alone is £31 on website and £56 with fibre unlimited.

I'm current with Virgin media. I called to sky and they best they can offer is £15 for the Original bundle (normally £20) and line rental with unlimited fibre for £25.

All in all, £40 for 18 months. I guess I'll wait and see what deals they have for Black Friday.

If anyone can get this, it should get hot pretty quickly.

Sky guarantee at least 55mb on fibre max. If they can't give you it then they'll release you from the contract with no penalty.

I've seen people getting over 70mb on it

I understand why you hate Sky. We all hated Sky at some point of our life. This is a good deal for me. Your comment is depressing and very negative. You are entitled to comment that though.Virgin has its good points but nobody in this forum could tell it ticks all the boxes.

When I posted a deal I haggled off sky it was removed as it was user specific.

I had the same here, switched to vodafone. Been with Sky for 5 years and they didnt give me a good price at the end.

Really wanted to stay with sky(fibre+free line rental + anytime calls including unlimited 0870 calls) , but they are increasing my package price from £28 to £36 and threats of leaving ain't working... Is there any other provider other than post office who offer unlimited 0870 calls (use it to make free international calls) or even a mobile provider out there?
Edited by: "mar_uk" 18th Nov

I've just renewed sky TV full package and after many calls they would only give me a price of £25 for 38mb fibre.
Edited by: "john306" 18th Nov

Existing Customer- I was not offered this at all. I told him what deal I'd seen and he said that the best he could do was the above package with standard fibre for £50 a month. I guess this is only for new customers.
Edited by: "Deal0rN0Dea1" 18th Nov

I see Q Box is included with Boxsets, what actual TV stations do you get with this?

As a new customer i was offered the above package for £55 per month.

I also could not get this--existing customer at end of contract, ended up renewing for 38Mbps/£25month
Good luck to anyone who can

Best I have found is to Upgrade via topcashback to fibre max. £30 p/m (£20 setup) and hopefullt £80 cashback. Not really botheres about TV.

Then 2 months after you've left they start calling with the 50% off or more when it's already too late.

Pretty sure OP either misheard or got a staff member looking to screw the company as they just scoffed at me on the phone when I mentioned the price. Said the fibre max alone with line rental is £30 so no chance. Voted cold, not a deal if no one can get it. Marked expired too.

Just called and they wanted £50 a month for this deal and could offer no discounts for fibre
