All the IR appliances and devices in your home can now be controlled from an app on your smartphone or tablet, you’re able to use the app remotely or while you are home. The health sleep feature of the broalink black been allows you to set a timer to power on and off during the night, ensuring you have a hassle-free sleep.

I have one of these and it's very handy, you can connect it to Alexa & set up commands to turn on your devices, I use "Alexa Game Time" to turn on my TV, soundbar & Xbox at the same time - I paid more for mine so at this price I've nabbed one for the bedroom

Wish there was an Alexa skill...the bridge isn't that convenient...I don't want to have a pi / phone or fire stick powered on all day (and the fire is slow enough). I'd buy another if it would work without a bridge.

Am I right in thinking the US does have an Alexa skill for Broadlink?! Why not UK?

You can't connect it to the PS4 because the PS4 has no IR sensor.

sorry I didn't look at the date so deleted it
£9.86 for me.

Not entirely sure I understand what this is, but if it works with Alexa and I can change TV channel by saying "Alexa, Quest" or "Alexa, BBC news" etc, I'll be happy for under a tenner.

Seems a bit too good and cheap to be true, tbh.....
How do you set this up with Alexa I’m not a tech geek but I have a echo dot and I want to buy this so I can switch my TV and Sky on with voice command any help please

Currently you'd need to run a bridge on a phone or fire stick. Search for RM bridge. Hopefully the Alexa skill will be released here too, then you won't need the bridge.
Check out this guy on youtube , he has lots of alexa tutorials and hacks.

I can do that with my harmony elite & hub, it'd be nice if this device did similar, but I highly doubt it.

FWIW the harmony elite is worth every penny, amazing bit of kit.
A good tool to use with this is home-assistant, this gives you the ability to make a much nicer interface than the one from the broadlink app, you can also connect home assistant to alexa/homekit so you can control the remote devices through alexa or siri
Looks like a mini Apple Pro
Have one of these along with the broadlink RM pro which does IR and also RF so can can control the old style RF plugs. I am able to control with google home voice commands but as mentioned previously you need a bridge running on an android device which is basically a web server. You also have to do a bit of port forwarding on your router and it helps to have a permanent IP but not essential.

You don't really need the bridge anymore. Have a look at Paul Hibbert on youtube. He explains it better than I would :P

It's easy to set a console to power on when the connected TV is switched on.

It can a little, I just needed to re-link my spotify account and yeelight. If you've your whole home linked it'll not be just as easy

To the person who said you have to do port forwarding, no you don't it works fine without port forwarding - you are not creating an HTTP bridge so port forwarding is useless.
This works with Google Home, but poor translation. Have to say 'turn on volume down' (though you can change the phrase with shortcuts). It then says it's 'activating the volume down'. Still impressed with it for the price though!
The Alexa skill will be released "in next week" according to the Broadlink Facebook page. This was posted on 7th March:

About time. Is it the same as Google Home where it replies 'turning on [action] for everything? For example, turning on power off?

No idea mate. Looking forward to getting it working with the telly and robovac though.

Yes I'm really happy with mine through Google Home since app control isn't the best. You have to use the IHC app for voice control since e-control doesn't support it. I set my remote up using e-control beforehand so had to redo it again, plus IHC is generally seen as the inferior app.
I have this with Google home use to switch tv channels
Got my Broadlink unit this morning and I've set it up on WiFi to control my TV. Relatively painless. But I still can't see the Broadlink app in the Android Play Store to enable Alexa support. Tried accessing Play via a US VPN, but still no luck.

Any help grateful received.
