bernabau?? you went to Madrid ?? or Milan??

Saying £159 on the site for me... And would rather stay away from these phonline booking deals... Cold for me!...

Why do not firms like this show the actual cost and build in the charges you can't ignore ? Payment by Credit card is 2.5% and debit card £3, what other way is there to pay, so how do you pay for it without incurring the charges ? Bit sneaky, I know £3 isn't going to break the bank but why not add the minimum of £3 to the cost and then a further 2.5% if credit card

Not exactly difficult to get to Como/Garda

How come? I flew with Thomas Cook last year with no problems. Can't imagine Monarch been any different as they are a no frills airline like Thomas Cook.

Monarch long haul? NO chance!

I'm not sure, when I went with them it was Monarch from Gatwick. I think you have to call up to find out extra details, or you can talk live to them through the website. A window should open in the bottom right hand corner.

which airports and airline do they use?

ahhhh florida .... my bestest ever memories ever . its so magical you will always want to return again again and again

Barcelona is a fantastic city. The locals of Barcelona have always cautioned me about the pick pockets. However I was lucky not be nicked. You just need to be extra cautious. One funny thing is the cat and mouse game between the police and hawkers. The police arrive casually just for the street sellers to pack up and leave. Once the police leave its business as usual.

seems not!

These criminals are highly specialised professionals. I consider myself a very seasoned and security conscious traveler, yet I fell for the pigeon **** trick, even though I knew about it beforehand. There are however mixed reports that police are finally getting their act together to make things safer for the tourists.

just thought i would add to the 'pick pocket' debate. i believe that it is slightly exaggerated. its common sense to take precautions no matter where you travel, even at home. if you are walking around with your bag open or wallet hanging out of your pocket, to be honest, its your own silly fault! i was in barcelona last year, and i saw the opposite of pick pocketing.. it was in the busy market on las ramblas, some guy actually dropped his wallet, and another person (both spaniards) picked the wallet up and ran after him to give him it back. if your careful, you will be fine, if your careless, its your own fault!

Shame Barca are playing away on the weekend of the 12th.

5 Star All inclusive Holiday - Rhodes - April 2012 - Broadway Travel

Actually I don't sunbathe and am perfectly capable of knowing the difference between rundown and quaint (how patronizing are you!!). Rhodes is a bit of a mess now, I saw it with my own eyes as I was there for a week. The old town is nice so we went there every night as the seafront and new town are an eyesore now and no maintenance is ongoing. After 7 nights of the old town we were bored stiff as there is nothing else to do in Rhodes apart from a day trip to Lindos which was lovely. Our hotel was also nice. As I said, I wouldn't go back.

I was in Rhodes last April and the weather was absolutely beautiful (approaching 30 degrees). Popped over from Turkey on one of the vomit comets. The new town appeared to be just a cesspit of people trying to trap you into scam competitions, we got out of there pretty fast. Rodos old town was stunning though. If by 'rundown' people mean 'a maze of quaint cobbled backstreets' to wander round, then yes; it was rundown. If you see that as a bad thing, then the sunbeds are thataway ----> Yes the people bother you all the time, but it's to be expected, it's the culture in that part of the world. To be honest I found the Greeks to be a lot better at it than the Turks (who in turn are far, far better at it than the Bulgarians!).

when things go wrong dont rely on the customer care team--they fob u off and u ultimately loose out--dont use these unless u have a persistent streak. wouldnt touch with a barge pole!!! broadway travel co voted cold

Stayed here twice over the years very nice hotel food was good be careful they sometimes try to transfer you to a different hotel when u arrive at the reception.

We went to the Mitsis Rodos Village last may and we had a fantastic time. It's not 5 star but certainly a good 4 star. Food, facilities, accommodation and staff are excellent.

£429 -- Florida: 2012 Amazing 14 Night Holiday on International
Found 4th Jan 2012Found 4th Jan 2012
Im looking to go to Florida in Sep and came across this for £429 in April and just £500 in JUne - Based on 4 sharing Looks good to me

FYI - These prices are still available throughout April, May & June

I think you would be lucky to find anything close to this in July/Aug. You usually have to avoid the school holidays to get these kind of prices (which is a brilliant deal BTW)

Phone Broadway or go on their website. You might get lucky.

Did you find anything??? My family are really keen to go this summer but need to keep the cost down, any ideas?

The best time to go to Florida out of them dates is April, maybe early May. The weather gets hotter after mid-May and the hurricaine season starts. As a guy who is deathly afraid of thunderstorms, that's really bad for me. Me and my Fiancée always go at the end of April till about the second week of May, (I say "always", we've been last year for the first time and going again at the same time this year.) Weather wise, all we had was 45 minutes of heavy rain, any other time it was just hot and dry and brilliant. Thunderstorms were predicted, say, every third day, but they never happened. Can't wait to go again, really is the best holiday destination in my opinion!!

this is a pretty good deal, for a cheap and cheerful. I got back from Florida last week, by booking our flights 3 days before departure we managed to get them for £240 each return from Birmingham to Sanford through Thomson. Then I got a 4 bed , 3 bathroom villa with games room, private pool etc off ebay for £400 total for two weeks - so worked out at £420 each as there were only 2 of us. We could have had up to 10 people in the villa though for the same price.

Anyone know which airline they use?

But for people who can drive it certainly would be. Those who can't, just get it and leave the car where it is :)

correct glad theres someone else who understands what orlando is all about. and another thing that was mentioned was the cost of stuff im not loaded but its a mistake trying to do orlando on the cheap.

Well said, Im usually hyper-critical of hotels but in Orlando every day is: Get up early, shower, go out for the day and come home knackered having had an awesome day, shower, go out for dinner/drinks, come back (even more knackered), maybe shower again if its hot and then sleep Rinse and repeat for a fortnight The hotels facilities (or therein lackof) are utterly irrelevant, if you want a pool holiday, why would you go long haul!?

Been going every year for the last 8 or so and rate Bognor as the best resort for layout, closeness of all ameneties/fair etc, but let down by the lack of things in the local area and the stone beach. Minehead has the same beach problems and small town (prob more to do if you're willing to take a little drive out) but skeggy although things like the fair are a few minutes walk from the skyline has by far the best local attrations with Fantasy island and ingoldmeds, pubs outside of the complex within walking distance, sandy beach and the actual town is great with all the usual seaside attractions. As for the prices i aint to sure they're that good as the're most likely standard roons and prob don't inclde half board - add on about £12 per adult and £6 per child per day. I've always booked direct waiting for the best deal, usually a £20-£30 discount and even get premier club discount at the moment (only a few % but it all helps) and this year i paid £330 for 4 nights in july for 2 adults 1 child 1 infant half board in Silver accomodation @ Skeggy. Less quidco.

Stayed at Skegness a few months ago. The carpets in silver accomodation were really dirty though which spoilt it abit as we couldn't let our one year old crawl around as her hands and knees were filthy within 5 minutes. Our 4 and 6 year old kids loved it tho, especially seeing Titan the Robot.

Been to Butlins countless time and its a fab holiday for the kids, but i would never ever stay in Standard accomadation. Its awful, just looks damp and run down, Once was enough for me. Now Always go for sliver upwards, Other than that, cant go wrong with a Butlins Holiday!

Will Bobby Davro be there? How about Les Dennis (not been the same since Dustin went to the big Theatre in the sky). Joe Pasqu-whats-his-face? If not, then count me in! ;)

No dates for school half term though

Dec - 9 to 17C on average and a lot of rain

Thinking of buying this for the husband's birthday in December - Is the area/ weather any good around Dec 1 - 4? We're not really interested in nightlife - more history, nature and food really - would this be any good for that?

Brrrr - take your coats & umbrellas for Nov-Feb (12 degrees average and more rain than London!).

Been to prague a few times, & several with our then toddler in a buggy. All was fine, if you are outside the immediate centre the trams are very good & reliable, very cheap & frequent. It wouldn't bother me as a proper tourist being 20 mins outside the proper centre (we have) as it's good to see the suburbs, & the trams are cleanm & relaxing, operate till the late hours, so unless you are going on a total beer-fest I wouldn't wory about a few km distance, you'll be happy to put your feet up & aquaint yourself with "prague-proper" Taxi's are a rip off for sure.

Have been there three times in December and it has never been very cold. It's pot luck I suppose as it can get very very cold or can be very mild. Once it was so mild and sunny we ate lunch outdoors near Charles Bridge with our coats off it was so warm.

Unless you're going for nightlife, and everything is a taxi or tram ride from everything pretty much. Mecca seems miles out the centre, then for studio 54 and Le clan it's another taxi ride.

Flashbang, I did not think it looked that bad(as people comment) and I read some of the reviews... I think people expect too much for what they pay. I have been to Tenerife several times and find a holiday is what you make of it. Lets begin with paying for suitcases on flights - quite normal nowadays. Transfers - you can get the local Titsa bus to LA for a few euros or can grab a taxi for I would think approx 25 - 30 euros for upto 4 people with door to door service. One person x1 drink is common @ the bar. It stops you getting one for those not on all inclusive.although a bit inconvenient. As for the toilet rolls, not that much to buy your own and a much better/softer quality than the cheep hand outs. Entertainment is never brilliant in hotels etc... it is a case of an evening stroll along the seafront and stopping in any bar that the singer sounds any good. The food a lot of trip adviser people said was ok, for a change you could always pay to to eat out at the many bars and restaurants. Well done for finding this holiday.

That true which is why you have to read all the comments and make an informed decision based on all the facts you can get, then just hope you've got it right while on the plane there!

also please remember, that it takes a few minutes for someone with a financial interest in a given resort/hotel to post a cracking review, or even just a half decent one.... Don't think for a single second that it doesn't happen on trip advisor, or any other review site....

Please remember customers are quick and very vocal about complaints, but when things go well, they don't praise.

Because over the last week you've come on to every hotel / holiday deal and said 'this place is a **** hole because these reviews on tripadvisor say so'. Ok, well I'd quite like to this place for a similar price. Find me an alternative, will you? We don't all have have the luxury of large amounts of money for superior and faultless accomodation. It's cheap cos it's basic. Food won't be anything special - I never expected it to be at this price. Cockroaches are more of a problem because of the climate, not the reasons we associate with them and trying to get rid of them permanently along with other bugs can be a real headache for hotel owners abroad. From a different angle 129 out of 220 say is't average to excellent ;)
