Brooklyn Larger craft beer case of 12 £7 @ Asda instore

LocalFound 27th Mar
In the entrance to Asda in Spondon Derby there is a large pallet of cases of Brooklyn Larger. These contain 12x355ml bottles of 5.2% craft larger.

On the Beer shelf these bottles are £2 each or 4 for £6.

I don't know if this is national offer but if it is "fill your boots". I don't mean literally fill your car boots that would be selfish, leave enough left for everyone 😁.

It's lager, not larger. Heat added because it's a great deal.

355ml? Poncey hipster wannabe drink.. rip off

I'm not a lager drinker myself but thought I would give it a try at less than 60 pence a bottle. The last case of beer that I bought contained 2 of each of these, I wish they cost 60 pence each.

Never understood how stronger beers with more taste can be called "poncey", it's usually by guys who drink watery rubbish and don't actually enjoy the taste of beers.

Just spotted the typo, the case might not be larger but the price is definitely smaller.
In Asda Lowestoft, right at the back of the store by the fish counter
Awful stuff.

What a case! 🏻
Lovely stuff.
Think it's nationwide. Was that price at the Mitcham ASDA

This is probably the best craft lager widely available in UK supermarkets. Lovely.
Boom! Just got what I think was the last three at Asda in Sheffield (Handsworth). I did about 3 laps around the store but couldnt find any others. They were mixed in with some other lagers and no price marked up anywhere. Got to the till and £7 a box! I’m very happy as it’s one of my favourites.
Plenty near the entrance at old Kent road asda

its produced and bottled in new york, where most bottles are 355ml (12oz), and has been brewed since the 80s.

I've only just tried that tart a couple of weeks ago and it's one of the best beers I've ever had. Can't drink much of it though
Damn that’s a good price. Might have to check my local, perfect for the bank holiday weekend
Very middle of the road imo. It taste slightly better than Carling/Fosters. But is in no way a world beater.

Good deal regardless

Was that 12 bottles or cans?
£1.75/l for a 5.2% craft ale. You can't beat that.

12 x 330ml bottles.
Bit tasteless compared to Brewdog. On a related note, can anyone explain who thought it was a good idea to put beer into a 330ml can?
Absolutely love this stuff. I’ll try mimworth

It has quite a strong hoppy taste for a lager, so not sure how that's middle of the road or remotely comparable to Carling/Fosters.

Yes cos Hobgoblin is such a great tasting beer

My usual tipple is Thornbridge or Williams Bros so I'm no lager boy, but Brooklyn is a very tasty drink, and much more of a real ale type beer than a typical lager.

Haha. Was thinking the same. I'm a fan of Worthingtons white shield. Not quite as good since they were bought up by Coors I think though. Still a good ale.
