Thanks

Thanks, been thinking about buying one of these for ages, but been swithering due to the cost - but now youve just made my mind up!
Got one reserved at my local store.
Heat & Rep added!! Cheers.

I have the DCP-110C and the thing cleans the heads so many times it is unreal. I hardly printed anything and the cartridges are emtpy. Annoying thing is I have spare black catridges but it will not let you print if any of the cartridges are empty. So as my yellow cartridge is empty I cannot even print in blank and white.

Not many places do the compatables either.

i have this and its pretty good
cheap compatibe ink cartridges can be had here:

Typical, I just bought a Brother DCP-750CW this morning for £93 and I thought that was cheap!

I saw this printer at my Tesco Extra (Leicester, Beaumont Leys) the other week for just under £40, didn't think to post as I didn't realise it was a bargain!

I have the DCP-120C model and it is the best printer I have ever owned... reccomnded.

Cartridges very easy and cheap to find online!

The photocopying is brilliant!

Compatables can be found online but a lot of the places offline don't bother with brother.

Have you used the compatables from here? Are they any good for printing photos?

Managed to pick the last one of these at my local argos. Had been wanting an all in one printer for ages and for this price I couldn't resist. Setup was bliss, no errors and no install probs. Instructions were extremely straight forward and easy to follow. The individual cartridges are great and will save £££ over printers with just one cartridge. Scanner works fine and SD reader works like a treat. All in all a fantastic bargain, thanks phoenix_af rep given :-D

Good find, just reserved 1 at my local store

full set of ink will cost about £11 from ebay traders.

I have one of these and can highly recommend it. Used it at university to print stuff including my dissertation. Compatible ink cartridges are dirt cheap compared to other brands. Scanner is great and photo copier can work without being hooked up to a computer. Great value...a must buy for someone without a Printer.

This is a great machine, I had one of these the last time this offer came up at Argos and it kicked my old canon all-in-one in to touch (better photos and paper tray) and definitely the Lexmark all-in-one I had 5 years ago (ultra expensive cartridges).

Worth remembering the compat cats for the brother from this place have been as cheap as £5.67 all in!

Thanks dusty! Dirt cheap ink cartridges makes this printer even more desirable :-D

Thanks for the info on the printer and cheap catridges, just reserved one for my daughter.

Glad so many people benefited from this.

I got mine today and I'm very impressed. Had slight trouble with installation but I put that down to my idiocy.

Printed my first picture in AGES (last printer was rubbish at doing photos).

Very happy so far (although not too sure how to get the paper tray out - to collect the prints???)

does this come with the USB connection cable or does that have to be purchased @ £16 +?

No it doesnt come with one but you can get them from Poundland or online for very little money... Dont pay £16

As Ive posted many times on here many times, Ive had a DCP-110C for over 18 months of faultless and very cheap service. Get my compatables from Choicestationary.

Having previously owned an Epson and HP all in one the brother exceed both in my view for sheer value for money and ease of use. I needed a fax facility so have just upgraded to another Brother all in one.

However....please see this thread http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51246&highlight=brother

The DCP115 qualifies for a free 3 year onsite warranty (upgraded from 1 year) by following the instructions on my post.

An absolute bargain.

Thanks - reserved and will pickup today.

Kevinyork you are a star! Free Handheld Label Printer ordered... Having only paid £40 for this printer i didn't think it was worth me extending my warranty. If anything major goes wrong with it shall be disposed of and a new one purchased (lets hope not!). I suppose it depends how often you use it as well, for me that's not going to be very much, so matches my individual needs. Rep added

nice find, just went and collected mine. Will try out later but looking at previous comments Im not going to be disappointed.

thanks very much;-)

As soon as I saw this, I cancelled my Amazon order for an Epson (also seen here)!

Now in my car boot.

Thanks!

The tesco stock is few and far between and not online.

I am thinking of getting one of these soon the only thing I am warey of is the print heads and how long they last, any good? I always buy Epson ones but going to have a change, the Epson stylus ones don't last me very long and costly to replace all the time so is this any better do you think?

All I can say is that firstly, in the 18 months I had mine it was churning out about 500 sheets per week and was still going strong when I gave it to my sister. Secondly.....its cheap. Wear it out and then buy another in a few years time.

thanks have reserved mine and will pick up tomorrow

my local tesco has these at 38 quid

You can probably find one cheap on ebay, have had them from there before. Thanks to OP i now have a nice new shiny printer/scanner and am INCREDIBLY pleased so far

I got one of these printers from Argos last time they were on offer good quality prints, I picked up a 2m USB lead for it in Poundland for £1.

Once you buy one of these, register it on the Brother Web site and choose a Free gift (I chose PT 1000 Labeller worth £36, £20 on EBay) making this printer about £4.

Yay, I reserved one late tonight and going to pick it up tomorrow, I needed a new printer.

Offer is good for purchases until end of 2007

Just bought two of these from Tesco - one for myself and one for the in-laws. Also used a £4 off £40 shopping voucher against each of them, so a cracking bargain.

So far all is going fine.

Thanks OP - heat and rep added.
