Why is this in the laser printer category?

I'm looking for an all in one printer, and whilst a good price for this model (voted hot) it seems very basic. i.e no double side printing.

I'm tempted by this Epson Workforce WF-2870DWF which has so much more, and with relatively cheap compatible inks, and is cheaper at £76.99

I would be interested in others views on a good value all in one printer.
My cannon finally died after 6 years.
    I respect your comment.
I have been using brother printer for many years. They are reliable and very cheap to run.
I just needed a basic one for my home.

Had a Broher printer once , broken just after warranty expires. I know it may be a coincidence but I won't buy this brand ever again. Recently use Epson XP 332 , got it about 5-6 years , using a non original ink cartridges, still going strong.
Brother lasers are built like tanks, never used a inkjet so can't comment on them (edited)

I've had a Canon mp600r WiFi colour inkjet that just gave up the ghost latest 10 years. Now looking at printer with tanks not cartridges.. More eco friendly and less faffing but have 2 printers black and white for basics and all in one ink jet for important stufd

LC424 brother ink cartridges. About £60 for four cartridges. They claim 750 pages per cartridge which is 2p a page so not too bad but still rather expensive compared to compatible ink.

A gamble, will LC424 compatibles become availabe, none that I can see so far but maybe... At least the epson mentioned above does have some (slightly expensive) compatibles available.

It is getting harder to find basic all in one inkjets with fake in available sadly.

Does anyone know if this prints onto card at all?
