Apparently it's not always good for double sided or envelopes say reviews.

Under £30 a set on ebay though.
I have this but they usually run a ton on Amazon. Never pay more.
For those who need such things, be aware that Brother is one of the few printer manufacturers who DO provide Linux drivers.
Pretty good printer, never had a problem with the duplex although never printed an envelope so can't comment on that. The toner isn't badly priced as far as laser goes. My only issue with it is that the LCD is not backlit and is difficult to read in low light. I have my printer tucked away inside a cupboard and always need a torch to read what its saying on the display. Probably won't be an issue for most people.

I have one of these in the office, paid a bawhair over £90 with toners at the time. Be careful if using compatible toners - it b*ggered ours after about 6 months.

Any recommendations for a laser printer with a built in scanner? I like the sound of Brother due to the cheaper toner but don’t want a seperate scanner.
Good printer, last time they were this cheap I bought 2 as the cost of the toner was more than the cost of another printer !!!

Are 3 years old now and 1st printer still working fine, other in box as spare printer or parts.
Still getting firmware updates from Brother (last update within the last month) ..... very impressed with long term support.
Brother do seem to be durable as I have another laser that must be 6-7 years old and still running fine.

Agree. I'm after colour laser all-in-one as well. And small/-ish as it's gonna be for personal use not office.
Can anyone recommend something?

Cheapest with a scanner I can find (with low cost replacement toner) is this: amazon.co.uk/Bro…GQS

However at £239.63 its certainly not as cheap as it has been in the past (as low as £180 according to camelcamelcamel).
Probably need to look around a bit more...

EDIT - slightly better brother multifunction: amazon.co.uk/dp/…GQS @£224

tierihave you seen the deal I posted for all in one with fax as well as scanner? The price has now fallen to £190.72 before £60 HP cashback from Printerland at the same Amazon link. You will also get a free 3-year onsite warranty from HP - link to cartridges in the deal below:

hotukdeals.com/dea…897

You shouldn't look at the total cost of a set of cartridges, but at the cost per page (the price of the cartridges divided by the number of pages it will print) to get best value. Everyone says Brother cartridges are cheap to buy but how many pages can they print?

Erm. Lowest ever price £101.99 on Nov 28, 2016.33907435-UVX2W.jpg
What toner does this come with please?
I have a hl-l8250cdn which is now shouting out for toner so might take the plunge, just need to work out toner costs.
This is back at £129.99 🏼
