Shame no wireless built in...
This is very tempting. So, are you saying that the cartridges are £9 each on ebay? Also, how long does it take for the cashback to be paid?
So why is this being down-voted? Looks a good deal for the money, to me. No ink carts to dry up on you. Cheap to run, apparently.
This very same printer got over 200 heat a few weeks ago...

This site is mental.
Any link for cartridges please
2 or 3 years Ago I bought a similar offer , got the printer, claimed the cashback, then sold the printer on Ebay fro more than the difference , made about £30 or 4o quid. I would always go for a mono laser cheap to run.
The next "oceans 13" film sees them stealing a truck trailer full of Printer ink .. worth £1BN at retail prices.
We’ve been using wireless versions of these at work for a couple of years now. I’m sure we bought them after seeing posts on here!! They are really reliable, can’t fault them & would definitely recommend them. Not too sure where’s best to get ink cartridges as the hubby sorts that!!
I've been running an older version of this for years - never missed a beat.

Possibly as colour lasers from Brother direct and WiFi enabled have seen similar prices with cashback.

If you need to put in a place that doesn't have access to router or network switch then yes you'd need a different printer. Otherwise just put it into the network and wired and wireless clients will see it

So I can just plug it into my router and print from my phone? I never realised I was being sold a lie with wireless!

I'm gonna do this with mine, is CUPS good to use or is there a better alternative?

Probably easier to just do it with a cheap set of homeplugs or similar ?
Thank OP needed a cheaper printer option now that it looks like I will be working from home for longer than I first thought.

Looks like they've put the price up unfortunately!
Does anyone know how long it takes for the cash back?
Well, eventually received it.
Seems a very good printer and the duplex facility is impressive. I've tried applying for the cashback but there is some system issue where when I enter the serial number it comes up with a completely different printer model, so I've had to contact Brother's customer service.. Anyone else had this issue? As long as the cashback comes in then this was a bargain for £56 effectively.
Some things are never simple..
Also, anyone else thinking of buying it from green footprint on eBay, if you add it to your watch list you may get an offer to buy it for £139.
Cracking deal, exactly what I've been waiting for to pop up.

Glad to help. They were a bit slow with my delivery (it's the courier I think which were a bit rubbish) and I didn't get any sort of communication regarding delivery slot etc.
Don't worry about claiming cashback before 30th June, it only needs to be purchased before 30th June, you have 28 days to claim from purchase date from what I understand.

good, did you have any issues registering the printer? The serial number on mine was linked to a different printer. Should be sorted now as customer service asked for some photos and my bank details and said they'll pay it within next 14 days. Good customer service though, despite the hassle.

perfect thank you!
Is it too late to order it now in order to register for the cashback in time?
Can this scan?
giridhart26/06/2020 13:30

Can this scan?

No this is a Black & White laser printer, you need an 'all-in-one' type printer for scanner.
I do find scanners a 'little' obsolete now, as you can scan/take a picture from your phone and then email and print
Is this still valid

Appears not, the Brother website has removed the code for the cashback.
Ordered this, delivered last week and cashback all paid. Came in literally 3 days which was cool
BUMP. Any cashback offers?
