Cashback brings this down to £114 which seems a great price for a duplex colour laser printer.

The supplied toners can print upto 3000 black pages, or upto 1800 pages each colour. Set of 4 compatible toners cost £38 on ebay

2.4% Quidco too.
Dilemmas... Missed out on the other 2 brother deals.....
What to do.....
the cashback offer is on until the end of the month so there's time to decide yet
Thanks
In inkjet printer toners dry up after not using for a while. Are toners working in a similar way? if I print rarely in colour it would still print ok? Thanks
Not an expert but £38 for set of 4 toners makes it extremely economical. Is that correct?

A Grade available at Office Owl for £162.49 inc VAT and free next day delivery, and with the same £75 cashback offer (which also includes an extended 3 year warranty) here

= £87.49

Be aware that: "BUK extended Warranty assumes the use of Brother original consumables. Using any compatible consumable or refill, may invalidate any warranty claim."

This is exactly the benefit of a printer like this. You can not use it for months and it will still print perfectly when you next need it.

Thanks. Inkjet might be economical but the way I use colour is just a waste of money. I will spend i.e. £5 for new colour ink. Don't use it for a while and I have to spend another £5 so it is false economy. Having kids in primary school so I guess they will need to print something from time to time in decent quality where colour quality of my inkjet HP printer is very average.

This looks good, concerned about the A grading, otherwise it's good.
Hope brother accept the product, also what toners will it take, as it got starter toners only. and if I need to claim do these toners have microchips to grass me up that I haven't been using original brother toners?.
Sorry another question. In what aspects this is better than the one below:
box.co.uk/OKI…tml
Thanks

2.4% Quidco too.

TopCashback is better. 3.15% for premium users but for regular I think still would be more than 2.4%

I have not been even aware that there could be some microchips with the printer. Then the question is who would buy unbranded toners on eBay as they are widely available for this printer? Surely if they make them then printer should not have a problem with them or am I naive?
Thanks

I had an Epson printer that required new programmed chips to be bought separately.
I'm not sure how it works with this printer either... Anyone know about this?

The T&C's for the cashback offer specifically includes A grade items

Do you think the one from Printerland comes with more than just a starter toners?

In answer to your question about microchips I found this in description of one eBay listing for those toners:
"You will receive fully chipped compatible cartridges
1 x Black Toner Cartridge Replace TN423BK
1 x Cyan Toner Cartridge Replace TN423C
1 x Magenta Toner Cartridge Replace TN423M
1 x Yellow Toner Cartridge Replace TN423Y"

35968499.jpgYield is apparently half the size of Brother so that might be a disadvantage but still good at £33 for 4 toners
Actually in the review link provided by someone earlier there is cost comparison of those two printers.

I do not really know why I would need laser printer but thanks to HUKD I spend last 2 hours reading about it and researching and I am really tempted to buy it.

Everyone in my house will sporadically need a colour printout, not regularly, but when required it's always urgent and important.

My HP laser is being very naughty and on its way out.
So I definitely need a colour printer... Just need to figure out what's going to be best.
The Oki looks good currently as the quality will be better than the brother one.

I think there was mention of the deal being better as they were full toners. I wasn't able to verify that as I didn't look into it any further.

Haha, indeed, the amount of crap we must buy that we just had no idea we needed really.

Hukd is quite a sophisticated marketing tool - convince the customers do all the legwork for the manufacturers
I bought the big brother to this HL-L9300 nd whilst the printer is good, original colour toners are approx £125! These ones might be cheaper, so I would suggest that you find out the costs of these, because it way adds to the overall cost

In the spec it says that the in-box toners are 3000 page for the black, and 1800 page for the three colours. This is the same as the spec quoted for the A grade model mentioned above at Office Owl. This is listed on the Brother spec sheet as the "Standard Yield" toner rather than the "High Yield" toner which is 6500 black / 4000 colour.

I thought Brother toners were easy to refill, they aren't chipped they have a sort of small mechanical dial on the side that needs to be reset - you can buy refill kits online.

That's deffo the case with my old black and white Brother laser, but I've never had one of their colour models, would be interesting to know. I've just bought this one
Thanks OP, ordered one and it was delivered next day.
