Two cartridge sizes. Standard and High Yield.
Mentioned in the video @ 01:10
(here, I'll save you the effort of scrolling up) take a look at the video which mentions print yields:

High yields cartridges are ~£100 for genuines

You can replace with a standard or high yield cartridge, OR...

...buy a refill kit that this model seems to lend itself well to.
Watch the below info video on refilling.

22kg heavy? but not as heavy as their 9970.
Toner is expensive on lasers but at a yield of approx 6000 should keep ticking over if its only for home usage.

9970- That's the size of a London apartment.
Over half a metre tall, jeez!

Nothing on the Brother website about this. No Nectar points as yet.Hope everything is above board and I'm not going to end up spending hours on the phone trying to get my cashback because the printer turns up on June 1st and Brother don't extend the offer!

I had the same update - printer expected to be delivered by end of May with cash back extended until end of June.
i seem to be having trouble with the cash back? when i put in the purchase date, it comes up with an error saying that the purchase date is before the shipping date? well duh its supposed to be isn't it?
There may be troubles ahead...

Here's what I got from Brother UK after querying the cashback:

"Dear ***************,

Thank you for your email,

Although your machine is showing as registered, our accounts department have advised that the system has failed to receive your receipt and bank details.

Please can you supply me with the following details: -
- A copy of your receipt, including date of purchase.
- The promotion code

Once we have this information, we will call you to take your bank details and add them direct to our accounts departments secure server.

Please do not send your bank details by email.

Thank you for your patience whilst trying to resolve this matter..."

Meanwhile the 3 year warranty extension is showing up as active against the registered device, the same registration process which included the £100 cashback.
Sounds like Brother's website went to pot when orders & registrations for this thing were being logged.

You might want to just check things out with Brother by raising an online query to eliminate the risk of a cashback claim failure.

EDIT/UPDATE:
Brother UK just contacted me and acknowledged that some customers' details haven't been correctly passed from the registration website across to Brother UK's systems who issue the cashback and upgrade the warranty - they've implemented a manual workaround whereby they'll get in touch with affected customers.

If in doubt, check online to see if your warranty has been upgraded from the standard 1 to the extended 3 years - as that will indicate they've started their process of initiating the promo code.

"Dear *********,

Thank you for your email and copy of your receipt.

As discussed, your printer serial number ********* has been registered on your account. I have forwarded your receipt to our accounts department and the bank details have been submitted to our secured server.

The payment should show in your bank account within 14 days and will show from BUK.

If you do not receive the payment within the timeframe quoted, please contact our accounts department on 0161 931 2247 and ask to speak to Michela she can then advise you of when payment was/will be made.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Your customer reference number = **********

Kind Regards

Had the same phone call today, have contacted brother to confirm promo has been extended but no reply.
Wahey! My Nectar points were processed on an ordinary 'consumer' Nectarcard. 2000 bonus & 266 for the printer itself.
I guess the reason they stipulated Business Nectarcard is that the points are calculated before VAT is applied.
That works out to £11.33 worth in value that can be spent at Sainsbury's, complimentararary.

Just waiting for the M&S £5 voucher to be processed by vouchercodes.co.uk
and for the £100 BACS transfer to complete.

Fingers crossed everything will be OK - makes me feel a bit better knowing others have been told the same thing. On a positive note the £10 worth of Nectar points came through fine.
Thank you for your email

Yes, the promotion has been extended to include June.

But as you have purchased your printer within the month of May and the machine will not be with you till end of May/June, you would still be able to claim as we always allow 28 days after the promotion end date to make the claim.

Kind Regards

Confirmation from brother.
Anyone had any problems getting the invoice to work from the Viking website?
I got an email from Viking Credit Control to say their was a new invoice / credit note waiting to view.
When I click the link, it then tells me: "You have no online statement to view at this time"

Same. Even I haven’t receive my printer
I did the claim the day (13th) I got the delivery, the invoice was available back then and I downloaded it. Not sure when was the 1st time you checked yours?
My invoice is now disappeared, guessing viking deleted it. Maybe it is worth checking with them to find out.
Just checked my account and I've got a pending credit of £100 from Brother UK Limited

Payments coming soon!
Ordered on the 8th, delivered on the 10th. Even with the hiccup of their systems not storing/transferring the promotional details correctly, since they recognised their failure a week ago, today the 22nd, cashback has now been paid up.

Edit:
Just got wind of the M&S voucher being successfully issued. (VoucherCodes needed chasing up though. A quick email query highlighting 'What's going on?' saw them action it.)

Registration process went fine for me too, but behind the scenes things went wrong which required manual intervention.

You might want to follow it up with Bro in a couple of days to ensure.
Received and registered - happy days.
Anyone else still waiting? Heard nothing since the phone call.
