Thanks a bunch.

Will having claimed a cashback through quidco already prevent me from additionally claiming from Brother?

5 years ago you could buy Dell Colour Laser printers for under £100. Why are there none in this price bracket anymore?
Just wish I could find one that does scanning with a document feeder too!

Just checked the T&Cs on that webpage now shows 31/5. So maybe cashback is no longer available. I will see if I kept a screen grab of the T&Cs that showed 30/6.

Unfortunately I only took a screen grab of part of the page which listed the codes for my mono printer but it was showing 30/6 at that time:

It seems there is some debate over the qualifying period, they may have ended it sooner than originally planned but I would submit the claim anyway, worth a try.

Update: They are running separate T&Cs on Mono and Colour printers. The colour printers T&Cs all say that the promotion ends 31/5 and the mono printers T&Cs say that the promotion ends 30/6 except for 1 printer which is 31/5.

So it’s unlikely that they will pay out on this colour printer but it’s worth a try, they might give some discretion due to the current delays and it’s only 3 days.

I'd check with Brother as this cashback offer has been on for more than a year and keeps getting extended.

I'll second that. They are nice and responsive on online chat and on the tel no above (option 2 for promotions).

I called and unfortunately they confirmed absolutely that the colour laser promotions including Q1C75 ended on 31 May and would not be honoured for purchases in June. They have no promotions on colour laser printers in June (though as per comment above there are some active promotions for black and white laser printers in June). There may be promotions on colour laser printers from 1 July but they will not know till 1 July.

Awesome, thanks for getting back to us. When they're verifying the claims, are they in touch with the retailers to confirm the correct purchase dates, or are they purely going by what customers put in the form and submit as receipts?

Just wish I could find one that does scanning with a document feeder too!

Put an alert on the HP M283. HP regularly do cash back on them e.g. hotukdeals.com/dea…884

I have the M281 which is still running strong. I picked it up for under £127 at the time (£227 purchase price + £100 cashback from HP + TCB). It has a document feeder, supports Ethernet and wireless printing e.g. AirPrint, network scanning (push and pull) and printing envelopes. The unit comes with a 3 year commercial warranty

The original printer cartridges aren't the cheapest but they last for a really long time (in 3 years, have replaced the black twice and the cyan once - the others are the same cartridges it shipped with)

My experience with HP over the years has been too abysmal to give it another go. Excited to try a new brand for a change. Grass might not be greener on the other side, but it's worth a shot.

Fair enough I have normally had a good run with HP printers (though my exposure has been largely limited to the LaserJet range).
Bought this printer around 12 months ago from LeoOffices £80.82 after cashback with 3 year warranty. Have used most days since then and still on the original cartridges. Colour cartridges now into last 3rd of usable toner, black cartridge showing half full on the app. I bought replacement toner six months ago (+/- £50 for set of 5), and still waiting to fit any !

My experience is it's a good printer - quiet, reliable connection via wifi and good connectivity (printing LAN, WiFi, Android app, Mopria, Apple iOS etc).

Be warned however - it's a BIG printer, with a very big footprint and heavy. Took up nearly a third of my desk before I found somewhere else I could plug it in where space was less of an issue!
This may be the best price now, but it has been cheaper recently. Just an FYI, as I do realise that time travel is not possible.
Personally, I'm waiting for it to go sub £125 again - e.g. hotukdeals.com/dea…767 or hotukdeals.com/dea…635

Thanks for the heads up, but also looking for automatic duplex scanning as get through a lot of documents, but not many models seem to do!

I purchased mine around a year ago and got the cashback, the claim end date seems to get extended every month
Now is the time to keep an eye out for new cash back offers from Brother. Once the printer prices have fallen back down to where they were, Brother will likely release new cash back offers and it will take a while for all the sellers to ramp their prices up again.

Are you sure you mean £50 for a set of 5? It only takes 4 i.e. cyan, magenta, yellow and black and compatible toners are around £150 for a set of the smallest ones.

I considered buying one or the 8360 when cashback was available with both but thought my mono laser and colour inkjet would do for now as I don't print much.

Because Dell don't sell them any more (never made them anyway)
Bought this a year or so ago for around £160 less another £100 cashback, so net £60. Huge printer, works well, don't know if I'd pay £220 for it though, even with £75 back, which I doubt you'll get.

Good printer but not good deal I'm afraid.
Great printer, bought mine in March. Printed 100's of sheets at this point and no hitches, but, I paid £75~ after cashback. If you're in a pinch, it's a good printer, but the price isn't world beating and there may be better options at £200, not sure.
just a heads up this is from a chat with brother on twitter "

When purchasing a machine eligible for cash back, the machine must be brand new from a UK supplier and must be a UK machine. The cartridge people purchase some of their printers from southern Ireland and Germany and some customers have been lucky enough to receive a UK machine, but if possible, it is better to ask them to guarantee you a UK machine or purchase from another UK supplier."
Compatible cartridges bought were one of each colour (B,Y,C,M), plus extra cartridge of black toner. I've used compatibles since moving to laser from inkjet a few years back - never had bother yet, and for the money, defo worth it. From memory, I believe original cartridges may be possible to "drill and fill" with toner, but I've never fancied the risk, nor the mess, so never researched any further...
