Would like your advice on whether this a good deal. I'm currently trying to find a good all in one laser printer. Most of the time it will be black and white duplex printing, but there's always times when you need to print something in colour or scan multiple documents. Hence, trying to find the best value automatic duplex print and scan colour laser.

From reading around I understand Brother are one of the few manufacturers that don't use chips to force you to buy original-expensive cartridges.

The other one that caught my eye is OKI mc342DN AAT £199.99 (this doesn't have wireless), seems to be robustly made. Any one have a view which is better, or is there any better alternatives out there value for money wise.

Anyone got this and care to share the good, bad and downright ugly - are the duplex features any good?

Edit:Updated to change merchant to Printerbase (cheaper and in stock free next day delivery - also where I bought it from)

An excellent printer, used them for around 8 years now
I really would have bought this now but finding reviews some are giving 2 stars.....doh
I have had the OKI 362dn for 18 months and it is awesome, checking the specs there is little difference between that and the 342. The 'starter' toner is good for about 1,000 pages and third party toner is pretty cheap.

The only thing that may be an issue for some is that it is a sturdy beast. Also be aware that it is an LED and not laser printer which a newer technology than laser.
This is NOT a 2 star printer, the build quality is excellent, they are fast, and they work

The Brother and the Oki both have wifi.

I've always found brother printers to be solid and reliable. Oki, not so much.

Pmsl not really led has been around donkeys years and it's only used to build the image on the drum so it means sod all difference really
I wouldn't have an oki just because I used to work on them and the quality was horrible and we're always breaking but that was a few years ago admittedly never had a problem with Brother always been good

The website expertreviews! gave this printer 2 stars! - but they reviewed it back in Jan 2015 when the price of the printer was £422 inc VAT.

There doesn't seem to be any negative comments about this printer or the deal - any reason why its going cold?
If you can do without the Wireless connectivity, the almost identical Brother DCP-L8400CDN is also currently available with £100 cashback and is £270 inc. from the same supplier (so £170 after cashback).
looks like a good deal to me. Heat added

You should really consult a doctor about the incontinence issue you appear to have
Excellent printer. I posted a similar offer back in December so you may find the links in it useful for compatible toners.

Ignore the negative voters, the less are very reliable and solid machines. You're getting a lot for your money with little left wanting.

read the review. The machine does not stack up, irrespective of price.

That OKI you were looking at is only £149.99 on Ebuyer without cashback, and has a 3 year warranty.

Nice spot.

I think I've pretty much ruled out the oki, looks too dated and uses chips.

I've come across the HP M277dw and HP M477dw - the latter having automatic duplex scan.
I'm trying to decide between the HP and Brother.
According to urefilltoner.co.uk the re-filling costs are cheaper for HP than for Brother.
I wish I wasn't so damn indecisive! - how hard can it be to choose a printer!
Had many of both HP and Brother but found the latter to outlast any that HP can come up with. Admittedly, HPs have been recently strong but not enough imho.
