You probably didn't know you needed one.

I'm actually looking for a QL-720NW (as it's got wireless, and is about £50-60 by claiming the £50 cashback) but stumbled upon this deal.

It's an older model, but might be okay for some people. Seems to be around £40-50 in most shops, but £29.99 at Ryman with £20 off. You can use NEW2 code if you are a new customer to get £5 off, and free delivery if you spend over £30, so you need to add the cheapest item you can find to tip over the £30 needed.

Cheapest item I can find is a 49p pen.

They use thermal printing so no ongoing ink costs. You can buy cheaper compatible labels in different size formats from Ebay/Amazon for about £8-10 for 3 I think, with 400 labels per roll it works out pretty cheap.

The QL-1050 seems like it does 102mm wide, so might get a hermes 1/4 page label on? Not tried it, and it's an expensive option I suppose.

These seem handy for Royal Mail and other uses though, but I'm thinking of going for the wireless as I tend to use laptop mostly and I'm lazy. Can also print from iphone/android apps apparently.

I upgraded from this to the 720, well worth the extra.
Bought from Printerbase when a previous cashback offer was on.

This shall be my new toy! Always written our address out but this may well be the future and at £25 not loosing out on much. Thanks

I have one for the royalmail packets I sent. they are good. sometimes tho the labels don't stick good that's my only issue.

Great price. Couldn't live without my Brother QL-560 label printer.

can it be used for printing receipt for a shop. like giving customer bill. any recommendation anybody.thanks

Believe me if you do a lot of ebay selling, these things are invaluable and save you so much time. I use an old DYMO 310. I'd be lost without it now.

This is a great deal, but which model is wireless? Only QL-720? Because QL-720 is around £120 way too expensive for a labet printer..

If you have a smartphone and the QL720NW, you can download iprint & label for free to print. Those looking for the wireless, also see if you can find the QL710W if you don't need ethernet.

In terms of receipts, you'd need one with a serial interface to hook upto a till. This one is more for printing address labels and shipping labels.

Anything with a W at the end means it's wireless ready.

I'm not sending hundreds a week so the odd label not sticking good is water under the bridge. Facebook page will appreciate it, little less scribbled out with rush and more time taken to play with a new toy!

Nah, cheaper with CODE 1007, brings price down to £24.39 if you add some Lucky 7 Loom Charms Pack of 5 (50p to take it over the £30 threshold

Feeling festive, so here's another one: Go via Quidco/TCB for an additional 8% cashback

Anyone know where the best place to get thin labels from.

eBay or Amazon, compatible labels, not original. Much much cheaper.

Dose anyone know how print out all eBay customer addresses in one go rather than copy and pasting individually using the above machine?

Thanks Ordered

The QL-720NW is about £110 (Printerbase is out of stock at the moment), and has £50 cashback until end of year, so it makes it £60.
Not too bad for wireless and quicker printing, but if you're happy with this deal and using USB then it's a great price.

There is a 710W which is also wireless and has a £40 cashback, but to be honest the 720NW actually works out not much more when you consider the cashback increase.

I'm waiting to see if there are any other deals after Christmas, or some decent vouchers from some of the bigger sellers to get a better deal than the Printerbase one.

By "thin" what do you mean? There are 17mm labels available - x 54mm (DK-11204) or x 87mm (DK-11203). A quick look on Ebay sellers they usually give a table showing sizes and number of labels per roll

e.g. ebay.co.uk/itm…29f

I'm trying to set up a POS system in my dad's shop. Does anyone know if I can use this to print price/barcodes to stick on the products? Would this be a good option? I have absolutely zero experience with POS systems!

Whats this like compared to the dymo450 on amazon for £40? Thanks

For anyone watching this deal - I've just posted a better one, if cashback works

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/brother-ql-700-label-printer-52-amazon-lightning-deal-potential-cashback-2099711

QL-700 which is a newer version, is £52 on Amazon lightning deal - £30 cashback on this model, with hopefully £30 cashback...Can't see why it wouldn't work. Be quick though if you want one.

Ah I see. I need a label about 10x38mm for numbering something but I see now you have a continuous 38mm roll that can be just cut at 10mm. Thanks for the link

By the way got mine delivered today so I'll have a look later. Cheers

Ah right. I think some of the models come with a continuous roll sometimes - does yours? The newer models (QL700 etc) have an automatic cutter I think, so would work great with the continuous labels for your purpose.

This printer print direct labels from ebay / royal mail website?

sorry to be dense but can I print any shape label as long as it fits in the machine?

we print a lot of royal mail long stickers for business post. would it print those for example?

Many ebay sellers have a handy chart on the listiing to show what labels sizes you can buy:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321452090015?clk_rvr_id=762428491934&rmvSB=true

However, if you use a lot of business post (do you mean PPI?), you can buy pre-printed labels on Ebay I think, and they might be a better way. They probably are about the same cost, but already printed for you.

Here is an example (not sure if it's the cheapest though, search for "ppi labels" but it'll give you a start!):
