Hello

Thank you very much for your order earlier this evening.

I am afraid Brother QL-700 label printer that you bought was priced based on some promotional stock we had at a low price, this stock has now been sold due to the sheer number of orders we have had for this item this evening.

I have therefore cancelled your order and refunded your card.

I am very sorry we were unable to help on this occasion.

Regards

They said it was old promotional stock and that the price wasn't updated.

Can you get cashback on that though? As the seller has to be a Brother partner.

Just looked at the price for compatible labels off Ebay, after a couple of months use, I'll have paid for my HP laserjet from the savings buying flat sheets of labels.

Shame really as it would have been a nice solution to labels, but not if it costs so much more.

I have this, its great. Continuous rolls are about £4-5 which for 5cm address labels will be approx 500 labels per roll. The software is brilliant and the unit cuts the continuous label at the end. You can buy non-continuous rolls but they are dearer.

That's the problem I bought 10500 labels on sheets from Ebay for roughly £27, you don't need a degree in mathematics to work out you pay a lot for convenience. I'd love the convenience but I can justify it since my HP laser cost £25 (bankrupt stock auction) + £17 for a new toner, that should last over 100000 labels, the toner the laser came with did 8000 labels.

These label printers seem to be the inkjet of the label printing world, i.e. you pay little for the machine and then get clobbered on consumables.

The thing about these is you print one label at a time, when you reprint on a4 sheets you lose quality, they jam, they get marked etc. so can work out cheaper.

Agreed.

I was having the exact same problem with my laser printer, when you reprint they always either get jammed or it like smudges.

So in the end run these will save you money as you won't have to waste so much paper.

Anyone had any trouble registering the device on the Brother website. I get the following error message 'The date entered exceeds the period set for product registration. (i.e. good issued + 6 months)'
