Group 2,3.
Weight range from 15 to 36kg.
Suitable for ages 4 to 11 years.
Forward facing.
Adjustable backrest for greater vehicle compatibility.
Adjustable head support allows the seat to grow with the child.
Pull out drink holder and snack tray for refreshments.
Deep, padded side wings and headrest give optimum side impact protection.
Washable cover.
Approved to ECE R44 03.

Scored well in Which 71% and one was one of the best buys. Here is what they have to say about it.
This is a forward facing booster with back rest that uses the three-point vehicle belt to restrain the seat and the child. It is designed for children aged about four to 12 (15-36kg).

It is very easy to use, offers very good leg support and excellent padding. While the idea of having one seat for several weight categories is often seen as a compromise, this one does a good job of bridging the gap. Crash ratings are pretty good, with low loads imparted to the child in both front and side crashes. The Hi-Liner has a very high back, which can foul on the cars head restraints. Stability of the seat can be improved on some cars by turning or removing the vehicle headrest, to allow the high backrest to sit more squarely onto the seat back.

Bargain Thanks

I've got 4 of these and have been very pleased with them. As OP mentions which rates them highly.

Got mine from Argos before Easter when they were on clearance at £20.

too big for my little one but voted hot.

just bought this, haven't fitted it yet but it seems a good deal. does anyone know if these can be fitted in the front seat as it didnt state if it could be.

I am really confused, this seat has been on sale at a cheaper price than this for months (£19.99) and has now gone up to £27.49, we had one of these and the cover on the seat was always coming undone, it was uncomfortable and the slight forward slant of the seat added to the lack of comfort. I posted this morning a deal where you could get the lush version of this, the Evolva 2-3, that is usually £50-55, from Mothercare for @£33 once quidco, and code were applied. It is years newer and much more comfortable. I totally appreciate that the Hi Liner is a good deal, I just really don't understand why the Evolva I posted is so bad it's voted cold. I know that if you spend under £150 you have to pay postage, but even with that it's a good deal for the latest model of booster.
This place really confuses me.

Normally, it is said that you can use it in the front if you dont have a airbag on the passenger side.

These are really good. Voted hot

Is this your deal from earlier:?

Maybe if you didn't throw your toys out of the pram and deface the webpage when someone votes one of your deals cold then it might be possible to have a proper discussion about it?

I thought that was only for baby rear facing seats?

Benjimoron, I think yr right....my mistake!

no I thought it was any child seat as the force of airbag and the position the airbag inflates causes more harm than good to liitle 'uns

Thought children under 14 years of age where now prohibited from being front seat passengers:thinking:

I may be wrong, I often am :whistling:

Suppose if you have a 2 seater car its a moo point anyway:thumbsup:

Absolutely, fair play. Everytime I have put a deal up, it's been slated, so I just felt a bit defensive. I didn't deface it, I could not remove it (I tried) but it would n't let me, and I knew a mod would remove it swiftly. The deal was a good deal, but if people want to be rude, I'll remove it.:?

If you think the deal is good, you should leave it up. I agree it is very aggravating if a deal you post is voted cold and quite why some deals are voted hot and others cold is still a mystery to me. Try not to take it personally though. I know its hard (been there, seen that, bought the t-shirt etc)

Many hot deals are initially voted cold - you sometimes have to give some time for them to be warmed up.

It happens a lot, you just have to ignore it. Whenever anyone votes cold on a deal that I posted then I ask why, defend my post if their reasons aren't reasonable and explain why it is a good deal if it still appears to be so.

In your case, pieceing together what you have posted here, and what remains in your discussion on the other thread, you found the Brittax Evolva 2-3 (the newer, more comfortable version of this seat posted in this thread at argos) reduced from £55 to £45 at Mothercare here:
]http//ww…PXI

Plus using the 20% discount code down to £36. Given that free delivery doesn't kick until in £150 at mothercare, I think it would be appropriate to add in postage costs. So, in short £41 delivered plus a possible cashback of almost £3 from Quidco. That's a good deal, as you say. A good 20% or so cheaper than anywhere else and quite likley worth the extra over this one. For me, I would definitely say worth the extra because I bought this one from Argos when it was £20, so it is a bit disengenous of them to imply it is a clearance bargain.

I would say post it again, clearly including postage costs, excluding quidco (but mentioning it as a possibility) and it should get hot. I will certainly vote it hot.

Seconded

Maybe if some weren't all so rude to people trying to post a good deal, then other quite normal people would not be offended and wish to remove their posts. I assumed that if I wrote 'pointless', it would be removed by a mod, as I couldn't remove it. And I am sorry, I didn't have a fit or throw my toys out of the pram, I simply wanted to remove my post, as what is the point if the only good it does is get 'cold' votes. It did seem fairly pointless to me, to bother at all, and even more so, when you see a seat get loads of heat in less time, and supportive comments.
It seems really unfair to have a cold vote. You just shouldn't vote, if you don't think it's great, but add heat if it's good.

Thankyou for that.
I did say that my quidco had tracked immediately, and that it seemed I would get it for £33-34, which I was really pleased about. I did order 4 car seats (5 kids) so the free del did kick in, but I didn't realise this and was going to buy them anyway as I thought it a good price for a good car seat. I did not include quidco in the price as I know it's not a given.
But thankyou for taking the time to answer me and making a difference! I won't post it again, as I think people will cold vote it now, just to get at me!!!

Incidentally, here is the thread on this one from 8 months ago when it was £20 at argos. Some interesting discussion on it so might be worth reading the thread.

You thought it was a good deal, what does it matter what other people think?
Removing a post because it gets cold votes does seem very immature to me.
Also plenty of deals go cold before they warm up and turn hot.
As the post above says they would have voted it hot, however they cannot now.....

It is not about being immature. Personally, it affects the way I feel, if I put up a deal and people vote it cold, with no reasoning, it actually makes me feel quite uneasy and makes me wish I hadn't. Maybe that is my issue and I shouldn't be so sensitive, but lets face it no one likes people being rude to them, whether it's online or on the school run. I felt sure it was good, so I thought that even if it wasn't hot it would be ok, getting colds is demoralising and I just wished I hadn't put it up.

Repost it savagevixen. You might be pleasantly surprised. It is a good deal and worth sharing.

Of course you are right, shouldn't be so sensitive it's just a forum!

savagevixen;2405052

I know exactly how you feel! I've posted deals in the past and had them slated, sometimes rightly, sometimes not. I don't post them now, not out of spite, just fear of rejection! It's a good job others are more thick skinned, or there probably wouldn't be a HUKD.......

I got 3 of these, don't need any more

ill always post deals as you wont know weather its hot or not if you dont.To be totally honest , i really couldnt care it they are hot or not as some people will vote it cold if they dont like the product , no reflection on its deal.Take it with a pinch of salt.

savagevixen has reposted his/her earlier good deal here in case anyone is looking for a comfier alternative to this seat for about a tenner more:

I've got 2 boys, 1 whos 5 in a couple of months and the other who is 15 months ( but are roughly the same size  ) could both sit in the front seat if in the correct child seat? ( obviously 1 at a time!) x

Can't see why not?

5 year old would probably just need a booster seat?

You can use a rear facing seat I think if you don't have airbags but a 15 month old would probably be better in a front facing one anyway.

oh ok thanks. my oldest has a booster and youngest is in a forward facing britax ultra si, always thought that my youngest wasn't allowed in the front. I wasn't allowed in the front till I was about 12 yrs old lol!
at least I know now the youngest can go in the front when its just the 2 of us, will make things easier... instead of dis-locating my shoulder passing things to him!
thanks for that x

Just watch out for the door child locks, my car only locks the back so if my son sits in the front I have to watch him in case he goes for the door handle.

This is for you kirsty1981 and maybe you too benjimoron. Hope you find this site useful.
