Ee I believe
£25 if not a BT broadband customer.
Grumpy_womble06/12/2019 10:26

BT own EE

So does BT get the left overs still or do they get a healthy portion of the network?
Shame not sure that EE has good coverage where I live. For interest does anyone know of a site or other mans of checking coverage in an area

Ofcom provide a free coverage checker and they are the communications regulatory body, so no bias. That said, the results don’t indicate guaranteed speeds etc.

Cheers
Also existing broadband customers for an additional £5 you get double data so £25 and you get 200gb data..
£70 TCB too? What soundbar is it and how much can it be sold for on eBay?
I'm out of contract on one of my sims on my account so called them purchase this but have wait on new Sim arriving and had to cancel this out of contract one (start a new contract). And right at the end she tells me I'd lose my number and can't transfer it to the new sim.

Useless.
Cancelled it. That's 20 minutes of my life I'm not getting back.

They get the highest priority since they are the parent company

EE comes after

Virgin has the least priority

Sorry where did you get the information from? I am with BT and the fastest speed they offer is 60mbps. EE's highest tier plan is speeds up to 90mbps. BT may own EE but EE is a separate company and BT Mobile is simply another MVNO.

BT might say 60mbps on their site but I get constant 100mbps on it

I was with EE a few years ago and never got close to that
Got this deal few months ago with £80 gift card and £80 Quidco

hmmm weird, I get 60-70 on BT atm. My girlfriend who was on EE's fastest 4G was getting 90mbps. Oh well, still quick enough for use.

Not sure how you managed to get that message from them, that's utter rubbish. You can port your number between any UK provider these days, all you need is a pac code.

uswitch.com/mobiles/guides/porting-your-mobile-phone-number/

Edit... Ah... Just read again.. you cancelled your existing contract, depending on when you did that could well mean the number is no longer yours and you'll not be able to transfer to any provider.

Best thing for you to do is call your old contract provider and ask if there is any way you can get a pac code before it's cancelled completely.

Looking for a decent deal for new (non-BT) customer. But the monthly prices start high.
I got this deal a week or so ago by calling in. I am a BT broadband customer and was interested in porting to this deal to receive the sound bar and crucially for me obtain access to BT Sport app which can be cast onto my tv, thus saving my BT Sport subscription. Heat added.
can you use this offer with TCB or Quidco

As a BT HALO customer I get speed advertised as 90Mbps, actually it's often much faster.

I believe so, due to earlier comments, though can’t guarantee from personal experience

Heat from me. I was already a bt SIM customer who has broadband. 15gig with bt sport on phone for 15 pounds. 12 month contract earlier in the year which I did not mind as handset was fine for another 12 months. Rang up and got the extra 80gig and the sound bar for extra 5 a month and it does not affect my 12 month contract which will expire in April. I shall not be tied in and have a sound bar too so can leave or renegotiate then. No brainer good deal and needed BT for the sport!

Does this include the casting to TV? When I had BT sport on EE, it was phone only. Casting to TV would require additional casting subscription.
I get a teeth shattering 1 MBPS on Three with 8GB allowance a month...can’t wait to switch! Black Friday this year has been really from a Sim only perspective

They say no. But in practice I can sign in to BT SPORT on my w10 laptop (and w10m phone!) and Miracast to Roku/TV in HD and it's fine
Would do this but worried I won't be able to upgrade existing SIM and keep number
Not a bad deal... I managed to get 115gb and Spotify for £21 a month with Vodafone
Had a really poor experience with BT mobile after taking this deal. I cancelled BT Sport on SKY to take advantage of the BT Sport on mobile app and then the challenges commenced. Firstly, it was not ported over properly and then followed a process of trying to sort this online and then by contact call. Secondly, the promised opportunity to cast my sports content to apple play was blocked and thus another call to BT followed. Initially, I was informed that this was possible and it was a system issue. Then , it was no longer possible and I was wrongly advised by the sales team. Then retentions were certain it couldn't be done and then when challenged it could be done with an app extension that came with a cost and two year broadband extension. All in all I wasted nearly an hour of my time to leave BT mobile within a week. I will be moving to an unlimited data and minutes sim deal and cancelling my land line and broadband. Very poor experience from BT.
