with BT increasing their speed to 52mb they give virgin media huge competition.
This deal beats virgin media and speeds past the standard companies only offering 38mb speeds in terms of price and speeds.

Offer is £10.99 + £17.99 making it £29.98 pm inc line rental for an amazing 52mb speeds with weekend calls
i checked quidco and you can claim £135 cash back making the price per month inc line rental to be a jaw breaking £17.73

quidco.com/bt-…v=4

BT's infrastructure are certainly increasing in terms of speeds and reliability to compete with virgin media who overcharge new and existing customers.
This deal even without cash back even beats virgin 50mb prices!

I signed up for the infinity 2 package over a year ago with the promise of 52mb and have never got over 32mb (infinity one package). Had numerous engineers out and tech support yet still getting charged at the Infinity2 price.
Financial Ombudsman is the next route, glad my contract is up in 2 weeks.
Avoid avoid avoid, terrible company, received no mastercard and cash back also didn't track.

Stick with PlusNet
When I switched to BT Infinity I got £150 Quidco and £125 Sainsbury's gift card.
no problems with the service yet either
Seems to be a good deal. Everything paid out for me when I joined them. Both cashback and a mastercard which was on offer at the time. No faults from them since day one, and always been consistent. I guess it depends area to area how your service is. I've never had a problem personally.

I got the mastercard and cashback. This is the best broadband deal and in 2016 you need this speed. Good router too. As with all broadband companies just cross your fingers that it all goes well and you dont need customer services.
I like how they advertise 52mb like it's some high figure.

Wouldn't mind but they struggle to provide a few mb to some people's houses.

This deal is the cost of line rental so as long as its quicker than normal broadband you have got a good deal. If they don't meet the minimum speed they quoted when you signed up maybe you will even get it for free! They never quote 52mb, thats the headline speed, during sign up they give u a guaranteed minimum speed. If you get a reliable 32mb for £17 including line rental, that's not bad at all. Plenty people in uk can't get 1mb.
I've never got any where near their fibre "advertised speeds" and to top it off I lost my connection completely for 1 month and intermittently on a daily basis for the next 3 months and got a paltry £30 compensation, their customer service is absolutely shocking, quite possibly the worst customer service department I've ever had to deal with in any business.
Just finishing the last few days of my contract now and cannot wait to get out.
How does it work if you don't have a phone line (as always been with Virgin)?

Is it free installation?
25gb Usage cap. Not very good.

It isn't 25gb usage cap. The £10 one is, but for an extra 99p currently you can get unlmited....
Isn't there a £49 activation fee to be added for this deal?

Are you sure you weren't confusing megabits with megabytes? Or were you getting those speeds over wifi? You really need to connect your PC via ethernet cable to get advertised speeds!

Infinity 1 was an up to 40Mbps product (capped at 40Mbps) this cap has NOW been increased to 52Mbps, giving speeds up to that. If you want the faster up to 80Mbps product then you go for Infinity 2. Obviously speed is still dependant on the length/quality of the copper part of your line.

I thought on the newer WiFi standards you could get up to 300meg?
Remember the new price rise.

yes prices are going up to £1 but with virgin prices increased in last month and with bt offering cash back the deal still is great

If I remember correctly, the last time they did a price rise they sent letters out anyway advising you of the changes and that you could leave penalty free anyway. So, it's easy enough to negotiate out of it if it really bothers anyone. I think it was only the line rental which increased a £1 last time round, so it wasn't worth worrying about overly.

You might want to try Ofcom - they are the regulator for broadband etc...

Agreed though, BT are just as awful as ever - of you are lucky and get a good reliable connection you won't know what I mean - call customer service once and you will understand!

I get over 150mb and its surprising how much data you burn through.

Netflix in their super HD, steam games, Xbox one download and patches etc, Spotify, various wireless devices.

If I had anything less than 50 these days it would just infuriate me!

to sum up the uk needs to invest in better broadband infrastructure as virgin is a lot worse trust me
but this deal is the best you are going to get in the uk being the cheapest and the most reliable

You need a reliable constant 20, and to get 20 you generally need to buy an advertised 50. If you only check emails in plain text and you never click on a link then go for less. Buying the simplest thing online today involves watching high res videos, 3d interactive imagery, skipping past annoying but sophisticated adverts and websites. Technology changes, things move on. Slow internet is a pain.
Thanks
Do not go with BT under any circumstances, we've had multiple problems with them, can't get through, they won't listen, can't get the problem sorted and above all the staff are so rude on the phone. Cannot wait to cancel and go to another provider!
