Cold, they're actually free from BT ( you just pay postage), but they're useless anyway and mine doesn't make a blind bit of difference to my broadband speed.

Yes, they are free plus postage as I had email from BT, shows you that on link. Now amended details. Most of Amazon reviews are Positive I thought it worth chancing £1.30

So basically only for ADSL customers (non fibre) and will only make a difference if you've got dodgy wiring on your phone socket

Not sure what 1.5MG is, that's got to be faster than 1.5mb, lol

Do they need an accelerator? ha ha

Helpful comment

Or just apply a pinch of salt or some snake oil for the same effect.

Not irrelevant, a pinch of salt or some snake oil is just as effective as this wall plate.

I've seen this have a notable impact on my mums broadband.
She was getting around 3.5meg and everything was painfully slow.
Connected this and her speeds almost doubled.

Only for fibre to then appear a couple of weeks later lol

If you think your connection should perofrm better than may as well try one, costs next to nowt and only a few mins to fit.

Whats to lose?

I voted hot, our internet is shocking at the moment- worth a shot!

About a milligram and a half in weight

For £1.30 it's worth a try. Thanks OP

These may work as long as you are not already using a filtered face plate

However you would be better off just using a filtered face plate and removing the filter dangling from the standard socket that came with your broadband router

I have had one of these on for years, I noticed it was more useful before I had fiber. cleaned up noise and got from 3.5mb to 5.5mb so I wouldn't vote cold.
