terrible firm keep charging you for services you never asked for managed to leave when they put prices up told no exit charges left them, they then charged me 60 quid for leaving early oh sorry its a mistake been waiting 14 days for refund so far
Thank you! I have been with BT over the past year (at £20ish per month after discounts/rewards) and have been pleased with their Inifinity 1 package (upgraded free to 76Mb).

Contract ends in February and price increases to £49.99 so I have been looking for deals.

This is HOT from me.

Go via Quidco or TopCashBack too, and you can get extra aswell as the Reward Card.
The Fibre from BT reminds me of Dial up....never again would I touch these idiots!
Good offer, worth mentioning if you pay upfront for line rental ( a year) it should be slightly cheaper.

Not sure this is a good deal ... Plusnet is cheaper and only a 12 month contract.
Awful firm to deal with! Went for there fastest fiber broadband! Saw the engineer at the box at the end of the road! He told me it was all running as it should! Went back to the house to find it was going off every 5 minutes. Went back to the engineer and explained this! Still said it was not showing a fault! Useless!!!! Decided to go back to Sky! ( Better the Devil you Know) but BT wanted to charge me for a sports package that we didn't want or use!! No chance! Sky went straight in and we have there fastest fibre with no problems. This is not an advert for Sky in any means! As I think most of the providers are pants! You pays your money and takes your chance...
£80 Quidco cashback too. Worth checking TCB
Been on Infinity1 since last March when they were offering £100 TCB and a £200 MasterCard, which was too good to refuse. Happy with the service, but then I've never had to call them. YMMV.
I'll like to provide some input - have been with Sky , BT and now with PlusNet ( who are owned by BT !) I had seamless internet with Sky and BT but went with PlusNet because of the price - within a fortnight ( first week they optimised line) I was slowing down on all devices and constantly glitching on the xbox for the last 12 months,I believe that they are traffic shaping the line at peak times. So once my contract is up in Feb ( I paid the years line rental upfront to reduce the cost ) I will be look at Sky or BT as options. I have had no connection problems with PlusNet , just the slowdown. Another point to note is BT will cover up to £200 of early leaving charges - it isn't well advertised by is there in the smallprint.

For me BT has provided the most stable internet connection I’ve had but I’ve experienced dreadful customer service that has eventually been resolved and I have been compensated for. I’m still with BT for there sport which I’ve got free with HD on a 18 month contract recontracted a few weeks ago infinity 2 £33.99 with free BT sport in hd for 18 months. This deal isn’t bad if you don’t want the sport.

good offer from Vodafone fibre 38. £20 per month if u existing customer. 18 mon term.
Best broadband company I’ve been with, and I’ve been with most.
Currently on bt but I can leave due to price hike can I sign up to this deal as a new customer under my wife's name?

You can, it was done on other BT threads, but you will lose your landline phone number though.

Oh and if I had dump in the house it would cost me an extra £130. Told them to cancel my contract. Moved to virgin media getting 300mb at £5 move then I was paying bt

Thanks Will I need to cancel with bt? Or will they just take over the line?

You need to first give 30 days notice and make sure they confirm on your account that there will be no early termination charges.

Go ahead and order the new connection in someone else's name and it will then be taken over automatically on the day of install.

I am in the same situation but instead of rejoining BT, I am thinking of going with Vodafone taking their £20 fibre broadband.

£6.99 pm
Isn't the BT Unlimited up to 52MB INFINITY DEAL BETTER than the Vodafone deal at £20/£24 PM?

£29.99 X 18 = 539.82 + 9.99 = 549.81

- £125 reward card, £70 TCB

= £354.81 ÷ 18 = £19.71 PM

Plus pay line rental saver to save even more.

If you want unlimited calls anytime get as sim only deal for £5 pm with £40 reward card.
Are there any good 12 month deals?

30 days after they notified you of the price rise, it's different per account as they were sent in batches.

BT charge £9.50pm for anytime calls to landlines and discounted calls to mobiles. Vodafone is much cheaper with £8pm for anytime calls to landlines & mobiles.

Alternatively BT offer a discounted sim for £6pm with unlimited calls / texts & 0.5Gb. With a £40 reward card and £15 TCB this is about £2.95pm. Much cheaper but possibly more hassle.

Update - As per the OP, BT offered anytime calls to landlines for £6.99pm during sign up.
