Called to order BT sport and they offered it free if i take line and broadbnd and also offered to buy out my sky line and broadband contract. Deal I was offered was line rental £15.99 and bt infinity at £15 (£5 for the first 6 month) .
seems like a decent enough deal

The contract buyout isn't .... well not that I can see

Becareful I thought about this but the usage is only 20gb if you use a lot of on demand 'catch up' this will soon go personally last month I used just short of 50gb

I think Sky do contract buy-outs as well if you tell them

The offer was for any broadband package, I didn't change myself as I'm OK with sky at the moment but may change. Looking online and it's about working out what's better, the contract buyout or sainsburys vouchers. .

BT customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I will be sticking with Sky.

Try using sky live chat and then you'll change mind in an instant for sure and if you don't change your mind I'll buy out your contract

BT - FINE
SKY - NOT

sky are great. two faults in five years and fixed the next day but turned out to be BT's fault. sky chat sorted both faults.

Thanks susieqt for that information. We have just swapped from Sky to BT and everyday we ask ourselves why. As for steve543 I used sky live chat and never had a problem.

Sky love chat is excellent. They cock it up. You complain. They give an extra compensatory discount. Same with O2.

today i just had fibre active in my area and trying to decide who to go for is a right pain! Talk talk seem the cheapest but only offer up to 38mb but BT im leaning to as they offer up to 76mb.

damn it!

If you use bt youview, any catch up viewing or using the online channels is exempt from if you have a usage cap

Tried to do it over online chat... not working.... they say they do not have this...

I went on sky fibre as a retention deal when they bought out O2 broadband, and have had near-perfect service. Even the router has been surprisingly good in my house, and that is comparing it to a Billion BiPAC 7800N that I was using with O2.

We only game them a shot because they offered us a great deal, but I simply can't fault Sky Fibre in my experience. Haven't even had to contact customer services once, web or phone.

If you go for the Infinity + TV package through Quidco, they're offering £200 cashback at the moment which will cover a year's line rental.

You will also get the £100 Sainsbury voucher through BT too, plus get HD channels free for 6 months on top of the usual freebies like BT Sport channels, HD sports channels upgrade during the 6 months, 50gb cloud storage, BT Wi-Fi, lower payments initially for the first few months etc, etc.

The £300 should cover any contract buyout or offset the monthly costs.

Always easy to slate Sky but for us they are perfect. We always get a reduced price, currently saving £25 a month that they knocked off our normal subscription price and that last for 12 months.

i spent 60mins on sky chat the other day....
I literally was asking every question i could to keep the guy chatting....
i even started talking about other places that were hiring
i feel i got my monies worth....
BT's my next target cos im sad like that

Spent many a phone call to sky to try and screw a deal, they are not interested cos I'm already on half price line rental. My next call is cancellation with full transfer to BT
