Happy New Year one and all. Just spotted this corded phone deal on the BT Décor 2600. It's at Curry PC world and standard delivery appears to be free. You can also get it at John Lewis for the same price, plus a two year guarantee but you have to pay for delivery or collection. It also has pretty good reviews.

Land line? It's 2018. Really?

Only kidding. I swear by my land line!
Can't find out how many numbers you can block (from the manual). Does anyone know?

Edit: just found it. 1000 numbers.

*Phone rings*
I answer the phone.
"Hello?"
Anonymous voice at the other end.
"Hi, this is the 90's calling. Er. We would like our phone and answering machine back"...

Still useful to have a cordedlandline phone. My electric went off (faulty connection at meter). Mobile was out of charge, cordless phone not working due to loss of power, no WiFi etc. Had to dig out an old corded phone to get in touch with supply company. Low tech still has its uses.....

What a bummer, just imagine if the phone line was down too, you could have been right up the creek

Probably more of an argument for keeping your phone charged than having a landline
Lol. These look so old, they look so odd
When the nukes go off and we have the zombie apocalypse, you will wish you had one of these.
Seriously thinking of getting one as I get quite a few power cuts where I live, last one on Christmas day for over 6 hours.
