BT infinity 1 unlimited (over the phone upgrade offer) £25.99 p/m 18 months incl line rental £467.82

Found 25th Nov
With a lot of people buying a 4k tv I thought I'd post this deal for people who will need to upgrade for 4k streaming.

So I currently had BT's unlimited up to 17mb broadband (paying £23.99 p/m had a £150 cashback card + £60 topcashback) and was thinking of upgrading to Infinity 1 unlimited.

Went on the website and saw it for £29.99 p/m with a £100 cashback card, however this wasn't available for existing customers.

It was showing £36.99 p/m for existing customers. That was too expensive for me so rang them up to squeeze out a better deal.

Rang them up and was offered BT infinity 1 unlimited including line rental for £25.99 on a 18 month contract without any haggling at all.

Hope it helps someone.

I find it hard to trust BT - they just kept pushing the price up despite being in a contract

Plus net is slower isn’t it, 38 vs 55 or more if you got the free 76 upgrade on infinity , and upload is better too on bt

I'm paying 31.99 plus got 125 cash back
Plus 40 m and s vouchers plus 20 pound credit on my account and paid 10 delivery
12 month deal

I've found BT are not a good company to deal with. So, I've had unlimited fibre with Sky for a few years now and minus line rental/call package I've only paid £10-15 a month tops for 50Mb/sec. If you can get the above deal for £25.99 - sure it's worth it, but don't be surprised if BT let you down somehow when it comes to charging or service.

2 days ago I renegotiated for Infinity 1 upgraded to 80-20 for £24.99 I also got the top entertainment package including UHD Sport for an extra £9 on a new 12 month contract.

OP 4K you need 25MB, so make sure you can get that, also if you have other users I would want Bt infinity 2

i just phoned them up .. they were not having any of it.... good luck to anyone else trying this..

That's a shame. Worth a punt. Negotiating a deal is always variable. I'd ring up again another time, see if you can get through to someone else. I spoke to "Ross".

Keep trying, I pay 25.99 with bt for up 76mb

Remember that is wired, if you only get 15MB wireless, they wont help... they will only tell you to plug in wired, if you get 49MB they will say that it is your wireless

Ye the tv and sky Q will be wired.

I also tried to get a better price when I gave them my notice after the recent price rise announcement but they would not budge from the standard £29.99. Maybe I will call one last time but they really do over charge!

I'm paying £49 for BT Infinity 1.. if I ring them up how do I go about getting it lowered? I'm no good at haggling or complaining about overpriced stuff.

Assuming you're out of contract or a victim of the upcoming price rise, place an order with Plusnet. BT will become aware of this almost immediately and much better offers will suddenly become available. That's what I found.

Strictly speaking once you have received the notification email from BT about the price rise you should call them to say you are going to switch providers as you only have a 30 day window from receiving the email. Of course if you are out of contract then just leave! Vodafone is providing the same speed for £20 and Sky, TalkTalk and PlusNet all about £25 so unless BT offer similar you may as well change provider.

Great find! Thanks, just been lookin at bb deals!

It's funny (not) that one week BT, EE... is showing me I can have fibre and then next week only up to 5Meg %)

Ok got email on 9th Nov. Gonna call tomorrow threatening to leave and get a better deal.
I'm on infinity 2 with calls but pay £45 odd a month....want it nearer £30 and maybe the new smart hub

Didnt want to know when i rang them,in fact the advisor laughed when i told her i was gong to take the vodaphone black friday deal

Any idea, how to get my upgrade speed back? I was automatically upgraded to 70 from 45, but have moved house and recontracted, seem to have dropped back down to 45.
Also how do I find out about if I'm going to be hit with the price rise? Thanks

Im paying £39 with EE 76mbps + anytime calls to landline/mobiles. I've not received any price increase notice yet... shame as i would've gone to voda £33 same deal

BT do 2 levels of Infinity broadband - 76Mb and 52Mb. If your line is not capable of the full 52Mb they are not upping you to 76Mb. It maybe that the line at your new address is not capable of the increased speed.

You can check if your price is increasing here:

You can upgrade to BT infinity 2 through the website for £39.99 per month at the min. That's what I did last night

Currently out of contract with BT and tried haggling for this. Cheapest they would offer was £30.99 with £50 activation. Going to look elsewhere.

I tried to get a reasonable retention deal out of BT but couldn't get past £31.50 for Infinity 1 for 18 months with half price BT Sport via sky for 12 months - think that's another £6.50 without HD.

Gave up after three attempts and taking out a new contract in my wife's name on the BF deal of £29.99 for 18 months including BT Sport in HD via Sky. Also get the £100 gift card and the new router. There's a £9.99 delivery charge and I get a new phone number but that's ok with me. Also went through Quidco so possible £90 cashback.

If they had offered me the package around £30 then I would have just stayed, but they didn't despite me trying three different people.

How do you open a new account? I input a new email address and sky card number but then get an error related to my sky card number which is linked to the current sub.

Does anyone know the process for setting up a new account in partners name
do you ring and cancel current contract is that instant inc the BT Sport?

Got a good deal for my circumstances in May, signed up for 2 years and I never do that so showed that I liked the deal.
Then, Whammy... I will be getting the price increase coming soon too even though on a contract. Yes, can leave for free, but what's the point of signing up to a period if they don't keep the price? Never mentioned price variable on the phone and have now managed to find that out buried in the depths of the internet. There is an option to sign up again for another 18 months at the same rpice, but can still go up according to their terms. What a crock of the brown stuff.

First call and give 30 days notice to leave BT (do not cancel). Then order in your partner's name. You existing connection will be taken over by your partner's account, giving a new phone line.

BT didn’t offer me anything better than £28.99 until I switched provider and I was offered Infinity 1 with up to 76mb/s for £24.99 on 12 month contract. Line currently showing 52mb/s but I think the maximum I can get is 64mb/s anyway.

Existing customer out of contract though paying £47 month for infinity 1. Didnt see this thread but just phoned them complaining about jan price rises coming and how new customer can get £31.9 mth - she offered £26.99 for 24 mths for same infinity 1 with landline. No haggling required but she was helpful in trying to find the best deal. This was a 'manager special' apparently and had to go away to get it authorised. (allegedly lol)

ps i'm FTTP not FTTC whether that makes a difference to available deals or not i dont know but i did have to speak to the FTTP department.
