BT Infinity Broadband + Weekend Calls - £10.85pm + Line Rental [Retention Deal]

I joined BT last year on Black Friday deal, paying £10 a month for Unlimited BT infinity broadband, with a big Quidco payout and a Sainsbury's gift card.

I was looking into moving supplier as my broadband cost was due to jump to £22 per month at the end of the 12 month deal, but thought I would check what BT could offer, as I've been happy with the service and enjoy the BT Sport.

Initially I rang a couple of days ago threatening to leave and seeing what they would offer. The best they could offer was £17.85pm.

Now...I'm not sure if it's coincidence but I had an email through today (2 days later), saying they had a special Black Friday deal for me with a special number to ring. Once through they offer me my same package for £10.85pm (it had risen 85p during the year already). Of course line rental is paid in addition to this.

Quite a good saving and although not as sparkly as new customer deals it's well worth doing for those who want to stay or don't fancy the hassle of moving.

This offer is standard BT offer at the moment for Infinity 1 and the £17.85 is standard retention price for Infinity 2(Pro). I know because my contract is up in 9 days and i have been dealing with them recently.
I've got problems with BT Infinity 2 speed at the moment. Their Indian call centre is an absolute nightmare - hopeless technically and hopeless at speaking and understanding English (I don't have a strong accent). I'm going to leave BT just because of their call centre.
I left BT because of poor customer service rather than price. I guess they are okay if you have no problems but it would take a lot to tempt me back.
I'm in the same position as OP, was thinking of getting partner (different surname) to sign up as a new customer to get the £200+ topcashback plus £100 prepaid MasterCard offer. Just not sure if they might be funny and refuse cash back?

Iffy one, there will probably be some get out clause in the contract somewhere about new supply at new address.
I did see somewhere (maybe on here or MSE) that someone had managed to get continuation of their £10 deal plus a £50 gift card of some description.

Only thing I really like about BT is that it is only a 12 month contract, only 2 or 3 suppliers doing that, PlusNet and Sky I think. Matches well with buying line rental saver or equivalent.
Anyone know the offer price on Infinity Option 3?
I have been offeted 9.85 for infinity if I sign up for another year, anyone else got offered anything? ps quite like bt no.problems and loads of hotspots when out and about

Yeah they are shockingly bad in terms of customer service, you do need a lot of patience to get through to someone who can sort things out (by phoning up multiple times), however they are the ones that cause the problems themselves so I guess it's justified calling their customer service crap.
Also offered £10.85 for 38mbps 12 month.

They have been a solid service over the year so wondering if there's anything else on offer from Sky or Virgin etc that's worth considering?
My special offer discount is finishing next month too, so just called them up. Was only able to offer me something like £17-£18 and just said I was leaving, he told me to cancel via another provider.

What should I do? Wait for a letter/e-mail? I don't really want to leave and the price of £10pm is good.
Just looked at this, how long do you wait to be a new customer? Once they cut you off? Then the next day?

As the topcashback I got last time was good( plus I like BT sport) retention, you will miss out on the cashback
What number did you call BT to get the revised offer?
Hi all,
I'm thinking of leaving BT and wondered if the xxxxxx@btinternet.com email addresses are discontinued immediately / eventually / not at all?
Any suggestions for good deals on (home) fibre optic bband with (or without) home phone would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
