Unrelated to deal, but I've found BT's customer service to be an absolute disaster. Clueless call centre operators located on the other side of the world, combined with seemingly no desire to look after the customer!

We have had the same. Had engineer cancel our appointment 1 hour before the end of our slot time after waiting in all day. CS had no clue how to deal with it and offered us a new appointment for 2 months time baring in mind we'd paid a years line rental up front and already waited 2-3 weeks for our first appointment. Also promised to call us the next day and failed to, leaving us to call them to rearrange a second time.
We had a £50 Sainsbury's gift card but only had £25 so far.
Not sure if we'll stick with BT when our contract comes to an end.

Is this pretty much the same deal?

Not sure why this is cold as other deal has expired and you get more cashback with quidco

...and they don't listen, preferring to try to sell services to you (that you don't want) so they can make some commission.

Having said that, the technology works well. Maybe they need to buy their customer service personnel from the same place they get their technology?!?!?!?

Me to, few days ago worse deal from TCB reach 400 degrees...

has anyone ever managed to get the Sainsbury's giftcards that BT offer? Started my broadband with them ages ago and applied for the card (still unclear why you have to apply for a free gift...) and still not heard anything....

I reckon SKY employed a few people to "freeze" the deal. BT is coming thick, fast and aggressively:)

I thought these calculations might help people when comparing other packages (e.g. Plusnet, EE, Sky, etc)

BT Infinity 2 + calls (weekends only) = £20 for first 3 months = £60
As above for remaining 12 months of contract at £26/ month = £312
Line rental saver for 12 months = £141
Rental for remaining 6 months at £15.45 (current prices so may potentially increase)/ month = £92.70
Mandatory delivery charge for Home Hub = £6.95
BT TV Activation charge = £49
BT TV monthly charge for 18 months at £5 = £90

Total = £751.65

After cashback = 751.65 – 100 (Sainsburys card) – 140 (Quidco cashback – NB I am interpreting the quidco cashback is based on the above package specifically stating “unlimited infinity 2 + calls” + TV and extra call add on is not required to receive the full £140 cashback) = £511.65 or £28.43 a month for 18 months.

I thought this was reasonable given that you get a Youview box and free powerline adaptors (just tick that you’re not sure if your TV will be within 2.5m of the Home Hub). I like the HD channels (only available free for 12 months) but I’m not bothered re: the Sport but many others will like it.

Hope this helps people when deciding if it’s worthwhile for them!

I'm looking at the Infinity 1 offer over 12 month. But the only option going through Quidco has the 40 gig a month cap. I can use that in less than a week!!!

I read somewhere, maybe on another thread on here, that it's only £5 to upgrade to unlimited. Can anyone confirm that??

Now there is a deal Unlimited BT Infinity 1 (Up to 38Mb download speed, Up to 9.5Mb upload speed) - £20/mth for 12 monthsº (usually £23) but like you wrote not available via Quidco. Anyway I want order this option, so I will go via quidco, choose main bt page and this deal. I hope will be tracked.

Unlimited BT Infinity 1 + calls (weekends only) = £20 for first 12 months = £240 + £23 for 6 months = £138
Line rental saver for 12 months = £141
Activation fee = £30
overall: £549/18 = £30.50 (with sky I have £37 now)
- 100 (Sainsburys card)
- 90 (Quidco cashback)

I've just called them. If you try to upgrade from the option 1 with the 40 gig cap to unlimited they'll just swap you to the option 1 unlimited but that is an 18 month deal. There are no 12 month options if you go unlimited !

Not sure I want to trust BT for 18 months with no get out?
