BT Infinity offer for existing customers 1 for £34.99 or infinity 2 for £37.99. 12m contract

Found 21st Oct
Just logged into mybt and clicked on offers. I could sign a new contract on infinity 1 for £34.99 or infinity 2 for £37.99.

I was on a contract with around 10 months left for more.

Not sure if it’s account specific but worth a shot if you’re a BT customer currently

Brilliant. £19 quid per month for Inf2 cos I already paid line rental upfront. Thank you.

I just re contracted for 24 months for £26.99 a month infinity 1 unlimited. Took me to actually switch then call before they would budge on price

Where can new customers get bt infinity unlimited for 20?
Edited by: "Franken" 21st Oct

I got mine for £27.99 renewal. My Dad doesn't have a mobile with them like me however I was able to also get it for him for the same amount. Those offers on your account get lower and lower but won't beat talking to them and saying mmmmm I'll think about it.

These guys can mess your days on connection disconnection etc
bad experience...
moaners like me few if maybe millions use them ...still.

heat. nice find.

bt infinity 1 34.99 for 12 months plus upfront 59.99 = 479.87
bt offer 125 reward card
quidco paid 60 cashback
479.87 - 185 = 294.87 = 24.57 p/m
if you already have modem from bt you can sell new one for 40-50 quid theres your 20 p/m for bt infinity unlimited

i pay net £15 a month... comes up every few months as mentioned by scorpio111

Not a good deal my friend. They gave inf2 for £18.99 pm when I negotiated my renewal this year. Obviously I pay line rental on top of that. Don't think £34.99 is a good deal

I've just negotated £33.99 for infinity 2 free BT sports in HD for 18 months as I like the football otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. BTs service is very reliable I have found.

Just been on the phone to them as I get that offer and it won't process online - apparently only meant for new customers and it's an error with the website........shame, as I wanted to downgrade to Infinity1 as the difference in speed is negligible and not worth the additional cost imo.

Just be aware if you are an EXISTING bt customer on inf1 bt are upgrading you for FREE to inf2 all existing accounts are supposed to be done by mid nov

The £34.99/£37.99 includes line rental and it's only a 12 month contract with no activation fee (£9.99 for the router) - so it's not bad.

£33.99 includes line rental all in.

Too much chew for me. Plus i got my reward when i joined so a bit much for existing customers to get it repeated. Plus what new custoners will already have a bt suppprted modem. Minority. Canny for those to know tho.

18.99 + 18.99 line rental = 37.98 which is the same price? Maybe take a maths lesson with your “savings”

In that case not so bad. I thought it was that province plus line rental.

i did try to negotiate on the phone and they gave me 5.50 for infinity 1+ 18..99/ month for line rental for 3 yrs...+ 5.00 for bt sports pack for 12 months.cant upgrade to infinity2 coz my line can only handle speed of upto 38mbps,so theres no point in upgrading to infinity2...

Coldddddddd. They just upgraded customers for free to infinity 2 so I think that 1 being still offered as an option is absolute cheek

Why would anyone buy Infinity 2 when they are upgrading all existing Infinity 1 customers to Infinity 2 for free?

I pay 26.99 inc line rental for infinity 2 a month, I recontracred for 24 months to get that price, good deal for me as bt is good where I am (was infinity 1 but got the free upgrade)

I’m going to try this tomorrow. Were you still in contract?

You have to laugh at some of the comments on this site at times. You have one person moaning that new customers get a better deal than existing customers, even though they probably took advantage of a similar deal when they joined. Then another person complaining cos they give a free upgrade to loyal existing customers.

OMG get bt infinity 1 not 2... all 1's are getting a free upgrade to 2.
BT speed boost

I'm on Infin 1 with phone for £32 in 2nd year and they've up'd my speed and getting 65meg now.
Don't for get the quidco cash backs, I moved in here 2 years ago and managed £420 in cash backs, BT Sky and Direct Line.

Tried ringing today as coming to the end of my infinity 1 contract, best price offered was £32 a month. Looks like going elsewhere as they wouldn't budge.

end of contact last month...

Vodafone do 38mb for £25 and 76mb for £30. Inclusive of phone line. (they still use the bt line)

I did mine a couple months ago through an MSE offer at 27.99 x12 months + 10 upfront.
Topcasback matched quidco at just over 110, already in the bank.
150 reward card took me a bit long to redeem but now on it's way.

Works out just over £7 p/month and could've opted for line rental saver to bring it down to £6.

Not as good as a couple of years ago when I actually made a profit from them. Just keep an eye open for all the offers they have for new costumers and stack them and no one can beat them in price.
Edited by: "BenLoco" 21st Oct

Obviously if you have 10 months left with them there's not much you can do in the meantime, but have a look at their mobile offers, you can do the same as my previous example and get a years worth of mobile for not much.

Not actually changing the name to Inf 2, just upgrading Inf 1 customers to Inf 2 spec; after which time any sane Inf2 customer will ask to be put on the Inf 1 package and save themselves some money.

The suspicion is that the Inf 2 name is being cleared, so they can use it for 100 - 300Mb services.

Expect Inf 2 = upto 150Mb, Inf3 = upto 200Mb and Inf4 = upto 300Mb; or something along those lines.

It also means the probable extinction of all those cheese paring tarrifs BT brought in only 24 months ago, to fill the gaps between ADSL and inf1, and between inf1 and Inf2. (20Mb & 50Mb I seem to remember).

Have some much needed heat from me. Existing customer and saved me £18.50 month, thanks!
